I am a sitar player originally from Maihar (Senia) Gharana (House). I live in New York City. I play for all occasions all around the US (solo performances, weddings, cocktail hours, events and etc.).
I played for Aerosmith, Sex in the City, and Good Morning America. I also played in private events including one for Tommy Hilfiger, and Joan Rivers.
Morshed and his team were incredible. We wanted to have some traditional sitar played, but also some modern flair, and Morshed was wonderful. Very responsive, reasonable rate, easy to work with, and wonderful music. If I have another reason to hire him for an event, I wouldn't hesitate.
Morshed and his colleague was very professional, communicative, and delivered a great performance. Would definitely use again and highly recommend.
