“Amazing!...honestly I got goosebumps.” -Grammy Award winning songwriter Jim Peterik
~This refreshing duo has an eclectic writing style with Marketo’s gospel roots and classical background, and Marcus’ love of country and soul. Together their vocal blend fill spaces with powerhouse virtuosity or stunningly crisp pianissimo harmonies.
Marcus & Marketo recently won the Oaklawn's Got Talent competition at the prestigious Lerner Theater and have performed multiple times at Acorn Theater after placing among the top three singer-songwriting competition finalists. Their original song, Call Upon, was also a top ten choice for the International Worship Ready Songwriting Competition.
Our Celebrate Recovery group so enjoyed Marcus & Marketo. They played a variety of contemporary Christian, and we especially loved their songs that were written by them, the arrangements were just beautiful done. The tones of their voices blend so well together yet both can stand on their own...If you are looking for a duo you can't go wrong with them. We will gladly have them for another event.
Response from Marcus & Marketo:
WOW! We are so glad the love is mutual. We greatly enjoyed sharing our music with your group, and will gladly come again!

On stage we're relaxed and having fun, but we are serious about arriving promptly, being well prepared, and bringing more than enough gear to get the job done. Every venue and pro sound engineer we have ever worked with has commented on our professionalism and consistency from arrival through tear down. This likely comes from our previous careers as armed forces veterans!
On stage, we love to begin every show with a showstopping, WOW start, and then draw audiences into our sound and the stories behind our music. Behind each song is a hint of familiarity or a story that you can relate to. This comes from the fusion of our sound and all of the different genres we pull from in our writing. We also know when and where to throw in a remake or cover song to keep audiences engaged and singing along. Whether there is a keynote speaker or simply a theme for your event, we are easily able to tailor our setlist to help bring it all together.
We also are able to bring high quality sound equipment to small and medium venues, as well as a computer preloaded with lyrics to all of the songs we play if you would like them displayed.
