Mariachi Ameca was founded by Jaime Cervantes in Chicago, Il in 1991. Our band consists of 9 members, including one female, most of which have had years of musical experience. Mariachi Ameca has accompanied many famous singers such as, Lucha Villa, Guadalupe Pineda, Pablo Montero, Aida Cuevas, and Napoleon. This band performed at Six Flags Great America for about ten years and also made an appearance in the movie "The Jackal" Starring, Bruce Willis. Our band has performed over the years at many events including festive parades, funerals, religious events, many private parties, and special events in Chicago and it's surrounding areas. This is the mariachi you need to liven up your party!

Then the mariachi band showed up and delivered a phenomenal experience! All voices were absolutely beautiful and professional. Everyone was friendly and welcomed song requests. Moving forward this is the ONLY mariachi group I will hire. Definitely recommend!

We hired Mariachi Ameca for my husband‘s 60th birthday party.
They far exceeded our expectations. They were extremely entertaining and all of our guests enjoyed the music even the small children!
They arrived on time and ready to perform, being very well dressed and professional.
All the members were very friendly and polite.

My father recently hired Mariachi Ameca for my wedding. My family loves mariachi music and we've hired different groups throughout the years for major events-- however, Mariachi Ameca blows them all away.
In addition to playing all of our favorites, they also played a couple of songs in english for my husband's side of the family. They were such a hit that towards the end of our cocktail hour and their playing time, several of my family members tried to pay them to stay longer. They were otherwise engaged, or else we probably would have kept them and their lovely music there all night.
Looking back on that day, it was truly one of the best parts of our wedding experience. We can't wait to hire them for our next event.

This is our second time hiring Mariachi Ameca, and we are never disappointed. Mariachi Ameca was incredible! We had Caucasian and Hispanic guests, and all the guests enjoyed and commented how Mariachi Ameca was the best part of the wedding. People are asking for the Mariachi’s name and contact, and I am passing it along. Our daughter Maritza and her husband Erik were amazed by how beautiful the Mariachi played and sang. Rocio was very accommodating to guests’ requests (and knew all the songs requested). It was a blessing to have had Mariachi Ameca be part of our daughter’s special day. Que viva Mariachi Ameca!!

My sister hired the Mariachi Band to perform at my nephew's college graduation party, which was held last month. The band was fantastic! Such a rich, solid sound with beautiful vocals! Even the neighbors couldn't resist, as several dropped by to take in the "concert" on a beautiful Chicago Saturday afternoon. :)

Absolutely outstanding performance for my mother's surprise party! She loved every moment especially with her favorite song, Pescador de Hombres. All of our guests were moved with the performance of Amor Eterno. Although we had a set playlist, Mariachi Ameca was flexible with any changes/requests from our guests. Highly recommended!

I saw Mariachi Ameca perform at a bar that I occasionally go to with some friends and they were awesome! I especially loved when they played "El Mariachi Loco" and their Oldies Medley. They had everyone dancing and singing and we all had a blast! I sure hope they come back soon!

On time, proffessional, crisp , clean sound, easy to work with, and they made our weddding a success with our guest. They personalized songs and delivered a top notch performance.
Not one negative thing to say about this group which is exceptional considering my family and I are Mexican/Americans that grew up listening to Mariachi.

Bad business decision they stood us up on our wedding!! A deposit was given months in advance and we confirmed a day prior on location and time. On our day they were no shows!! The bride stood outside the church for over an hour in tears, contact was made with them and they stated they were on their way running late to the North Side. The church was on the SOUTH SIDE! After telling them this they immediately hung up and ignored my calls for the rest of the day. I ended paying more money to extend our photos, reception and DJ. It was a disaster they obviously doubled booked and we had to be the ones they screwed. We did get our deposit back and they offered a free hour at no cost. Really? Do you think we would expect you guys to show up for free? Well guess what a year later I took up on that offer for my new born's baptism . Can you guess what happened next? They caught amnesia and didn't know what the hell I was talking about . STAY AWAY! SHAME ON THESE PEOPLE! The listed address is the owner's home "Jamie Cervantez" STAY AWAY STAY AWAY!

We hired Mariachi Ameca for our wedding a week before, and we are very happy we did. Not only did Mariachi Ameca play incredible (in tune and with such great emotion), but it also knew and played each song that was requested. As a previous mariachi member myself, I was amazed at how professional and friendly this mariachi band was. We had family and friends talking about how they really enjoyed the mariachi band.
