Marla has been an active and independent keyboard/vocalist/bandleader and D.J. in the Tri-State Area and has performed all around the world in places like Hawaii, Rome, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Puerto Rico and Thailand.
In addition to performing in various venues like the Rainbow Grill at the Rainbow Room, Top of the Sixes, the New York Athletic Club and Central Park North, the Peninsula Hotel on Fifth Ave.

Marla is concentrating on songwriting and music production, trying to capitalize on the popularity of the single on itunes titled "I Can't be Your Friend " sung by Amanda Brown, finalist on NBC 's "THE VOICE 2012 " co -written and co produced with John Henderson.
Marla releleased and co wrote a single on Emergency Records called. " HARD TO LOVE "
Marla co wrote "KEEP ON LOVING ME " by Monet on Ligosa Records.
Marla wrote "SOMEBODY ELSE" and cowrote Into The Light (UNIVERSAL PARTY)with Lenny White and Alan Palanker RCA RECORDS by Denroy Morgan.

Marla sang a duet with Bernard Wright, a billboard Top Ten Single in 1985 called (Who Do You Love), which has been re made by Chaka Kahn and received substantial radio airplay.

Marla appeared on the wedding special for "Live with Regis and Kathy Lee " Television show in 2000 as well as singing a McDonald's jingle in the 1988 Olympics.
