Marty Manous is an accomplished professional musician, considered to be a guitar virtuoso since the early age of 16. Marty is the lead guitarist, front man and composer for The Marty Manous Band. Marty's music is remarked as being soulful, dark and powerful with great songs and killer guitar. As well as leading his own band, Marty often performs and records with many side projects. Marty has performed and recorded with such names as the late drummer Cliff Davies (Ted Nugent and Grand Funk Railroad), Carl Culpepper, Andrew Black, Barry Richman, and Todd Smallie (of the Derek Trucks band).
The Marty Manous Band has opened and shared the stage with many top acts such as: Mothers Finest, George Lynch of the Band Dokken, The Fabulous Thunder Birds, Foghat, Todd Smallie of the Derek Trucks Band, Ricochet, The Answer from the U.K. , and many other great national acts.
Education: Marty graduated with Honors from Atlanta Institute of Music. During his time at A.I.M. Marty studied with some amazing musicians/guitarists: Jimmy Herring, Carl Culpepper, Steve Cunningham, and Nite Driscol to name a few.
Vocal education: Marty is always working on developing his voice further. When not performing he studies at Jan Smith Studios in Atlanta, Ga.
