I always dress appropriately for the occasion (either casual dressy or dressy). When I'm performing, you would see a large speaker a few feet away from me, and a laptop on a stand (which I use to play high quality karaoke tracks). I use a wireless, high quality microphone to project my voice (whether it be a small room or a larger venue).
I am a professional singer, model and actress with representation.
Although I do have a stand to place my laptop on, it would be helpful if you had a tall lectern onsite (to place my laptop on for performances). Also, I need access to an electrical outlet (to keep my laptop plugged in and fully charged).
Some singers that have really inspired me: The Backstreet Boys, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Hall and Oates, Huey Lewis and the News, Bing Crosby, etc.
I definitely need to have an electrical outlet in the area where I'm performing.
