I will provide music for your event, either as a solo act or with a group. I can play background music or provide a more formal concert. I can play interludes and hymns for a church service as well as processionals and recessionals for weddings. The violin is an extremely versatile instrument, so no matter what your needs are, I can adjust to fill them.

I can provide a list of repertoire I have used previously, but if you have specific requests, I can honor them within reason.

I have been playing violin since I was 8 years old, and even before that, music has always been a part of my life. Through the most important moments of our lives — happy, sad, momentous and fleeting, music is always there. I would be honored to provide the music for the next important moment in your life.

I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oregon and a Master’s from University of Colorado Boulder, both in violin performance. I have been playing weddings since my high school graduation, immediately after which I began working for Duo Con Brio, a highly-regarded business that provides event music in Portland, OR. I can play solo as well as in chamber groups. I have a wide range of styles at my disposal, from traditional classical wedding music to arrangements of pop songs.

My instrument is extremely valuable and delicate. Because of this, there are certain conditions under which I cannot play. If an event will be taking place outside, I require shelter from sun and precipitation of any kind, and I cannot perform in extreme temperatures.

If a gig requires continuous playing for more than one hour, I will require one 10 minute break for each 50 minutes of music.
