Marysia, Circus Artist

I'm a professional circus artist, specializing in contortion (extreme flexibility and body manipulation). I've been training in circus arts for seven years, including living in Brasil and Australia for intensive study. My background is in aerial performance (trapeze, silks and lyra), acrobatics (partner and solo), fire performance (spinning, eating and fleshing), juggling and theatrical clowning. I began my training as a member of the Tallhouse Arts Consortium in Olympia, WA and I graduated from the professional program at the New England Center for Circus Arts in 2020.

I'm well suited to both act-based shows and ambient entertainment. I can provide a 3-5 minute contortion/circus performance to showcase my skills, or a longer ambient performance to enhance the atmosphere of your event. I can perform in any space, but an elevated platform or stage really helps bring the show to the audience!

My act is uniquely suited to work in all kinds of environments, from a full theatre stage to a tiny corner of a busy party. I do need adequate space "behind the scenes" to warm up and get into makeup and costume, but otherwise I can bring my performance just about anywhere!
