Massive Grass is banjo, guitar, mandolin & upright bass. We play a variety of original songs, traditional bluegrass tunes, and bluegrass covers. Many of our vocals utilize 3 part harmonies. Our songs are mostly upbeat with some slower ones mixed in. We have experience playing weddings & festivals, and we are also great at private parties and pig pickin's. We are very comfortable doing 3 hour shows and can also handle 4 hour shows if needed.
I was little skeptical hiring a band online for our wedding that I've never heard in person but so glad I did so. Massive Grass was a perfect entertainment choice for a laid back beach wedding venue. Not only are they talented and entertaining but completely adaptive and accommodating. We had to unexpectedly take our reception inside due to the drop in temperature and the band went along with whatever needed to be done in order for everybody to be comfortable. They even learned a couple songs specifically for our wedding! I'm so glad we didn't choose to go the traditional (cliche) route and hire an overpriced, overdone DJ that would have played the same songs you hear at EVERY wedding. All of our guests enjoyed themselves with this upbeat and soulful band. Highly recommend!! Thank you guys for making our day so memorable!
