Meet Maticulous, your favorite rapper's competition!
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Maticulous took interest in music at a
very early age. (link hidden) "I remember annoying all of my family when I was younger.
My parents bought me a toy keyboard (Casio Rap Man) with a record scratcher and a microphone with voice changing capabilities. When I put batteries in it,
that was it! I made beats and remixed them for every single family member I
possibly could." Currently, Maticulous released his fourth studio album called "Yard Work (2014). "I am entering this album promotion with the mentality of IT'S
NOW OR NEVER!" Yard Work has 14 tracks, 10 of which were produced by
Maticulous and all mastered by HDQTRZ Mastering Studio in Atlanta, GA.
In 2006, Maticulous moved to Southern California to pursue his career in the music industry. In little to no time, Maticulous began networking with other musicians and performing at local venues.
In 2007, Maticulous released his first retail ready album entitled "MySpace Me". This album pushed Maticulous into a world of opportunities, booking performances all over the southwest region. It also gained him exposure to some industy personnel. An A&R from Bad Boy contacted Maticulous in hopes to work a deal out. "Maticulous' music is the sh*t! It's a goldmine and needs to be heard worldwide!" -R.C. Levell, A&R, Bad Boy Entertainment. Maticulous was also hand selected by Jose Cuervo to be a part of their new competition called "Cuervoton". Maticulous was announced as the Top 3 Latin artists in the state of California.
In 2008, Maticulous released his second retail ready album self-titled "Maticulous". With a buzz going strong on the streets and online, Maticulous entered a contest by 102.7 KIIS FM in Los Angeles called Discover Music. Maticulous gained radio spins for his single "Tatd Up" and received over 250,000 online votes/spins in a few weeks. With four singles on KIIS FM's website Top 20 list, Maticulous' future was looking promising. In May of 2008, Maticulous' had a son and started focusing as much time as he could with his son. Due to issues with the mother of Maticulous' son, Maticulous filed for court. After several months of court dates, Maticulous was granted sole custody of his son in February 2009. Realizing family was the most important thing to him, Maticulous decided it was time to take a break from the music scene and focus on his family life. Still, Maticulous continued to work on music and dropped two mixtapes, "Push Down And Turn" in 2010 and "Sleepy Hollow" in 2011.
In late 2012, Maticulous decided it was time to get back into the music scene. He began working in the studio and completed his third studio album, "Get There". After the release, Maticulous felt like his family life still needed more of his time than he could offer if he were to stick with the music career. Promoting every chance he could throughout 2013, Maticulous sat down with his wife and talked out a plan. "I asked for my wife's support, told her what I wanted to do with the music, and she agreed that if I was going to do it like before, I had to give it 110%. She is fully behind me, and I couldn't have asked for a more supportive wife and family."
Maticulous has performed/opened up for some of the music industries elite. From Pitbull, Future, Nina Sky, Kid Ink, George Clinton, Suga Free, Mack 10, The New Boyz, Bad Azz, Korupt, Mistah Fab, The Game, and many more.
From anything he does, Maticulous has what it takes to go far in the entertainment industry. "Music is my passion! Besides my wife and kids, it is what makes me happy. Whether I'm performing in front of five people, or thousands, nothing compares to the feeling of being on stage. I truly believe that I have something to offer everybody!"

sound check before the event is always a plus!
Maticulous' bases his sets on the type of venue. I.E. club venues get club style music, community events and all age events get edited music (older to newer), etc etc. Some gigs Maticulous has done in the past have requested select songs and Maticulous accommodates.
