I'm an electric violinist who can bring an unmatched level of energy and uniqueness to your event. I specialize in rock, hip hop, and pop but also have ambient background music. If you want your event to have the class of a string instrument, but with a hip and modern twist, give me a call.
Man, this dude is talented! The guests at my small outdoor wedding were blown away, what a great addition to a great ocean side cocktail hour, we are so happy we hired him!!! Thank you Matt!!!
Response from Matt Bell Violinist:
Thanks so much! Your wedding was awesome and you were so kind and welcoming! Best of luck to both of you!
Our wedding was on the beach and due to high tide coming in earlier than expected we had to move the start of the ceremony 1 hour earlier. Matt was great he was on time regardless of the time and the music was beautiful! Thank you again!
Thank you Matt!
Response from Matt Bell Violinist:

I play a variety of events. I can provide anything from mellow background music for a dinner party to dance music for a cocktail hour to a full blown rock show for the featured entertainment at a corporate or private event.
I play solo electric violin with backing tracks, so you have the ease of working with a single performer but the full sound and high energy of a rock band. Because there are no live drums, I have total control over my volume. It's possible to provide a rock show atmosphere at a volume that won't have people covering their ears or running for the exits.
I have a wireless transmitter, so I'm free to roam around the room and I love engaging with people during my performances, so it will definitely be an interactive experience.
Because both the visual and audio aspects of my performance are unique, audience members are given something really memorable to enjoy and often end up taking lots of pictures and videos to share with their friends.
For smaller venues (up to 100 or so people), I can bring my own sound and lighting, providing for a complete turnkey experience for the person booking the show. For larger events that require a professional sound company, I'm also a sound engineer, so I'm able to communicate and work well with sound crews to make sure that the client gets the experience they deserve.
I started playing violin when I was 3 years old. I was a Suzuki student and learned the classical literature as I was growing up. As a teenager, I discovered rock and roll and was CAPTIVATED! I got an electric violin and started playing in a rock band. Over the last 20 years, I've played all over the United States and in several countries around the world.
A few years ago, I left the band I was in to pursue a solo career. I'm now playing both my original music and original arrangements of songs you might know.
I'm based in Cary, North Carolina, but continue to play across the country and globally.
For smaller events (up to around 100 people), I have my own sound and lighting. I need clean, dependable electricity and a clean and dry place to play.
For larger events, I can use the PA, staging, and lighting that's provided for the rest of the event.

I have a variety of pop, rock, and dance songs. I also have a variety of original songs and original arrangements of songs, including the ever-popular Devil Went Down to Georgia.
I also have a library of "background music" designed to entertain those who are actively listening, but not distract those who would rather have conversations.
For weddings, I have some typical wedding songs, such as Canon in D, 1000 Years, and the Wedding March.
