Matt Gumm

Matt is available to provide the epitome of the word "variety show". There is the option to incorporate all of Matt's talents for your event needs, or to pick and choose exactly what special talents you would like shared with your audience.

Matt is a gifted vocalist who can truly sing any genre of music, his vocal ability also offers him the unique talent of impersonations. Matt does vocal impersonations, a few of his specialties are: Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Keith Urban, Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakum, Rod Stewart, Neil Diamond, Joe Cocker, and so many more! He also does character impersonations, including: Johnny Carson, Bill Cosby, Steve Martin, Jay Leno, Jeff Foxworthy, George W. Bush, a very elderly man (aka Bob Cobb), and more! With these vocal and character impersonations Matt not only sounds the part- he looks the part! Each impersonation includes an uncanny tribute to the artists sound and movements on stage, but also full costume, wigs, facial prosthetics, etc.

Matt is a talented comedian through various forms of comedy, such as: stand up, physical/slap stick, and skits. He brings the audience to hysteria with his "horse bit" where he appears to be riding a horse which he maneuvers from inside the suit (kids LOVE this bit!) and when he prepares to play a harmonica solo before first getting completely tangled in the mic wiring!

Instrumentals are another exciting dynamic to Matt's many talents, he plays a very special instrument called the "hammered dulcimer". This beautiful stringed instrument originated in the middle east...somewhere around Ohio. But all kidding aside, Matt will bring tunes such as "Cold Frosty Morning" and special Christmas classics to life for your audience through the incredible melodies produced by this unique instrument! Matt also enjoying sharing his musical talents through another instrument, although this is a wind instrument...the tire pump! As see on The Late Show with David Letterman, Matt can play various tunes using only a tire pump (his specialty is 'The Stars and Stripes Forever') but he is willing to take your requests and learn something special for your group in advance! (You have to see this to believe it!) Matt is a gifted harmonica and acoustic guitar player, as well as a drummer and percussionist- he is able to bring yet another dynamic to your event by incorporating these instruments live within his show. His percussion experience allows him the unique ability to not only play your typical drum or percussion kit, but also other items which produce similar sounds...like PVC pipe tuned just right to create one of the craziest instruments you've ever seen, "the flush-o-phone". Playing this instrument with flip flop shoes, Matt will truly WOW your crowd...you won't believe the sound that comes out of this thing!

Matt has the ability to make your event as big or as scaled down as your prefer. He has the ability to go as large as a live band, back up vocalists, production videos, etc. or you can hire just him, his guitar, and tire pump! He looks forward to the opportunity to serve you and your event needs!
