Matthew Jordan

Matthew will show up on time, and fully performance ready. If necessary and requested, he will provide his own keyboard, microphones and sound system/PA. He is frequently used to wearing a full suit at gigs, if that is called for. Matthew can perform for up to 4 hours, and can play either instrumentally, or with vocals. His styles range from contemporary pop/top 40 to singer-songwriter to classic rock to 80's & 90s pop/rock to oldies to jazz standards and everything in between. He is happy to learn a small handful (generally no more than 3-5) of special requests per gig, within reason. He is willing to travel within about 2 to 2.5 hours driving of Burbank, California, with further distances being negotiable depending on event budget and other details.

When you see Matthew Jordan sitting at the piano in the corner, belting out your favorite iconic songs from legendary artists like Elton John, The Beatles, Billy Joel, The Eagles, Van Morrison and Paul Simon, an old familiar question from the classic tune “Piano Man” might come to mind: "Man... what are you doing here?”

What Jordan is doing here, is the only thing that has ever made sense to him. Playing the music he loves, by the artists he admires most. And he’s been lucky enough to get the opportunity to do that all over the world, and even share the stage with some of his all-time favorites.

The long list of talented artists that Matthew has worked, toured and performed with includes The Beach Boys, Don Felder, Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray), Everclear, Uncle Kracker, Terri Nunn (Berlin), Rooney, Sabrina Carpenter (Hollywood Records), Martha Davis (The Motels), Skip Martin (Kool & The Gang), Steve Augeri (Journey), Rick Derringer, Tommy Tutone and The Rembrandts.

In 2019, Matthew toured with legendary surf rock band The Beach Boys, performing all across the USA as well as Internationally, including an event in Florence, Italy, co-headlining with Queen. Matthew was tasked with singing lead vocals on a number of the Beach Boy’s greatest hits including “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “Don’t Worry Baby” and carrying the load of all the iconic falsetto vocal parts in every song.

Jordan also is a touring keyboardist for Don Felder, original lead guitarist for legendary rock band The Eagles. Felder co-wrote “Hotel California” and his harmonized melodic guitar solo at the end of that track is iconic & instantly recognizable. Jordan shares the stage playing & singing with Felder at venues all over the world, performing hit after hit from the Eagles’ classic catalog.

In the studio, Jordan recently worked with mega-producer Sam Hollander (“High Hopes” by Panic! At the Disco), arranging and recording background vocals and playing keys on several albums by the Beach Boys’ Mike Love including the Christmas Album “Reason For The Season” and his new album “12 Sides of Summer” released via Sony/BMG & S-Curve Records.

Jordan’s cover of The Beach Boys hit, “Good Vibrations” was featured prominently in the final scene of the Netflix hit film “The Kissing Booth 2”. The track has since racked up nearly a million plays on Spotify.

With a repertoire spanning the 1950s to current pop artists and over 1,000 songs, Matthew will bring your party or event to life with his dynamic brand of piano & vocal entertainment. He looks forward to performing for your guests!

If I am providing my own sound, I simply need access to one power outlet. I only need one outlet for my sound system and one for my keyboard, but I also bring my own power strip so really I just need one outlet to run my entire set-up. No other special technical requirements for my performances.
