Over the years, I booked Melissa Gordon numerous times at my bar and restaurant in NY, both as a solo act and with a band. She is a natural behind the microphone. Her ability to read the room and keep people engaged and entertained is unmatched. She can play a wide assortment of songs across genres and has beautiful original work too. She is funny, aware, quick witted and her voice is mesmerizingly beautiful.
Melissa is a both a fantastic musician and a wonderful human. We've seen her play a number of gigs around New York City which are always a fun time. Even more importantly, she played guitar for our wedding ceremony and first dance and did a beautiful job. We had total faith that she'd feel out the timing etc with our wedding procession, and having her play one of our favorite songs live for our first dance was extra special. I can't recommend her enough!

Melissa has a huge repertoire of tunes, she's great on the mic and very well-organized. She subbed in for a last-minute 4-hour cover gig in Manhattan and totally nailed it. Her singing and playing works perfectly for both background music and more engaged audiences. She did such a good job on that first show that I've hired her multiple times since for different projects. I highly recommend her!

I book music at a venue in Queens, NY called The Letlove Inn and we've had Melissa play at our spot many times when she was living in NYC. The customers loved her, the bartenders always looked forward to having her back, and I definitely noticed a bump up in business on the nights she came through. Please note I do not have my own PA system. The sound from the amp is wonderful and far reaching however, if your event is in a larger space or the sound is expected to reach beyond 100 people, a PA system in the venue would be necessary.

Melissa can provide sound equipment ample for a solo performance of up to 100 people. Please note that a PA system provided by you or your venue will be necessary for numbers higher than this.
