Last Saturday's Summer Solstice birthday dinner and musicale honoring the Servant of God, Fr. Aloysius Ellacuria, CMF, (+1981) was a resounding success, and the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the piano performance by a virtuoso. The evening was designed to cater to our culturally educated invited guests, and Alexander Zhu, PhD, our pianist, did not disappoint. Each piece was selected with care, reflecting the depth and breadth of the piano repertoire, and executed with a level of skill that left the audience in awe. As the evening progressed, the Mr. Zhu seamlessly transitioned between classical masterpieces and contemporary compositions, showcasing a versatility that kept the audience engaged and enthralled. The dinner, which featured an array of delicious salads and gourmet dishes, was perfectly complemented by the music. Guests dined under the stars, enjoying the longest day of the year with the soothing sounds of the piano providing the perfect backdrop. The combination of exquisite food, enchanting music, and the celebration of Fr. Aloysius' legacy created an atmosphere of joy and reverence. Our guests left with their hearts full and spirits lifted, having experienced a night of pure musical bliss. It was an extraordinary celebration that honored the memory of Fr. Aloysius in the most fitting way possible, through the universal language of music. Thank you, Mercury Strings, for allowing us to celebrate Father Aloysius on the weekend of June 21st. Terrific in all ways!

Mercury Strings did a really great job at my wedding, playing pre-ceremony and ceremony music. They even learned (without additional cost) specific music that matched our musical theme even though it wasn't on their official set list. They sounded beautiful and the guests were very impressed.

As a 30-year owner of an entertainment company on the East Coast, I am quite experienced in live events. I have to say that I was truly impressed by the Mercury Strings performance at my son's wedding. They communicated well and completely before the event, giving me confidence that everything would be right. At their performance, they were dressed well, were early to the event, and calmly sat and waited for the wedding party to appear. Most importantly, they all played in tune, which made me feel like the performers really cared and played their best. I highly recommend them.
