Mermaid Cetea

Cetea looks as a mermaid should from head to fin! Her colorful tail is made from silicone and feels like real fish scales. For all in-person events, Cetea will arrive early prepared with her silicone tail and mermaid accessories, and will be accompanied by a "mer-tender" helper. Their job is to oversee her safety and provide transportation to and from the performance space (as she cannot walk once in costume). They will make sure the event goes smoothly. Mertenders will be dressed as pirates by default.
Birthday events include a handmade gift from the mermaid. For larger events, she will bring small mermaid treasures to hand out.
Cetea is able to swim with your guests in a pool or perform in a tank if provided, but is perfectly happy to sit on land and entertain your guests with songs and stories about her life in Lake Erie.
All bookings will be quoted as a default of 1 hour encounters. Please contact prior to booking for longer session quotes.
-please make sure the event space has somewhere nearby the mermaid can transform away from the eyes of the guests.

Meet the human behind the mermaid: Jessica Gramc is a quirky individual with a big dream to inspire people of all ages to believe in magic. She started her journey studying Theater Arts in 2010, but it wasn't until she took a job as a face painter in 2013 that she realized her joy for working with children. She took off swimming as a mermaid in 2018 and has never looked back.

Meet the mermaid: Cetea is the starry eyed mermaid of Lake Erie. She has a love of human things, including marshmallows, fountains, and especially hats! She got her name from sailors who thought she was like the constellation Cetus: as brave as the biggest of the creatures in the lake, and as beautiful as the stars above. She has spots on her tail that glow in the night, and she uses them to help sailors find their way home. She loves to visit her human friends on land, and hopes she can remind land dwellers that magic still exists in the lake.
