We like to have a Santa come to a neighborhood party for pictures. It’s half adults/half kids and this year we had 80 people. Needless to say, it was loud and the adults weren’t really paying attention. But Santa still managed to get us singing and he was great for pictures. Hope he can come back next year!!

We had Santa & Mrs. Claus for a small party for children/grand children of our members. They were very professional, took time with the kids in reading stories and singing songs and most importantly involved the kids in everything they did. Also, Mrs. Claus was excellent with names. Thank you for a great experience!

We had Santa Tim for a few families last night and it was a great experience. Mrs. Claus and I communicated several times beforehand to make sure we had all the details worked out. Due to Covid, Santa had to wear a shield, but it was very easy to see his face and he was able to remove it for a few distanced photos. The kids enjoyed telling him what they wanted for Christmas and listening to the story. The look on my six year old's face when Santa asked if his three year old brother wanted a truck was so magical to see. He was so impressed! We will definitely be using Santa Tim again for future events! Thank you!

Santa was amazing! We planned our event to have 200 or so people, being our first year. There were over 3,000 people in attendance and probably a couple hundred children in line to see Santa. He did great to take a moment with each child who talked to him. We can't wait to hopefully have him back next year!

What to Expect
Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas!
Here are some tips to have a great Santa visit!
We want Santa’s visit to be very special. Here are a few tips to help make your Santa visit merry.
• Provide a cell phone number of someone at the event who will have it on.
• Have a special place for Santa to park – very close to entrance of event.
• Have someone outside to meet Santa – to show him the way and to load toys into his sack if
needed.
• Plan it so Santa can make a “Grand Entrance” – Have everyone participating in a common task
(singing.)
• Place Santa’s Chair so it has a great holiday background for photos. Leave room behind for group photos.
• Place payment in a Christmas Card so you don’t have to hand Santa a check or cash and risk a child witnessing the transaction.
• Keep the children together and occupied to give Santa a few minutes for his departure.
***Mrs. Claus Report: For a truly magical experience for your child, send Mrs. Claus a short report about your child so his/her visit is personalized and special. Please include in your child’s report their interests, current event that just happen or name of Elf on Shelf if they have one.
Your Christmas Celebration would include the following:
1. Grand entrance! This works best when all the guests have all arrived and the party/event has already started. Then have Santa make his grand entrance.
2. Mingling with the guests, one on one greeting conversation with everyone. When mingling, Santa generally goes from table to table to say hello and to pose for group photos, etc. (You may like to add holiday selfie photo props to each table. This would add a fun element for your guest’s selfie pictures!) I do have one set that I bring with me for corporate events that I can have set-up if you have an extra table not in use. Please note: When you have a large event, this does take quite a bit of time.)
3. Santa proceeds to a chair with holiday decorations/backdrop (that you provide) for more formal pictures that your guests may want to take themselves. (Santa may need the host’s assistance if Mrs. Claus is not with him, depending on how large the event is.) Or your guests may want to make their own short, personal video with Santa for their children if time allows.
4. Pass out gifts/Christmas bonus checks/awards that you have provided. Have Santa make an announcement/presentation on behalf of your corporation. (If you have Santa make an announcement/presentation please provide him a script a week ahead of your event.) Gifts should be opened after Santa has met with each guest. Opening gifts all at once makes a great exit time for Santa.
If you have time remaining after the above items have been completed, you may pick from following:
A: Have Santa sing Christmas carols with guests (Santa loves to play his guitar & sing!)
B: Santa or Mrs. Claus read T'was the Night Before Christmas.
C: Santa dancing with guests to “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” This works best if your
business is having a dance at your event.
D: Play games with Santa (All prizes that Santa passes out are candy canes except for the Ugly Sweater Contest. The winner will receive a special award for this.)
1. Ugly Sweater Contest (This game is fun and works great when the event is not formal attire.)
2. Holiday What’s in Your Phone Game (This is like a scavenger hunt on their phones.)
3. Christmas Trivia
4. Name That Christmas Carol
5. Snowman Bingo

Did you know Santa Tim WON “The Best Overall Santa Experience” from WNEM Channel 5 News! Santa Tim is a proud graduate of Charles W. Howard Santa School, International University of Santa Claus, The Santa Conservatory and the Professional Santa Claus School. He is also a member of M.A.P.S. (Michigan Association of Professional Santas), I.B.R.B.S. (International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas), Great Lakes Santas and the Santa Claus Network. Santa Tim also has a PhD in Theology, Masters in Christian Education, Bachelor's in Psychology, and an Associates in Business Administration. He has been working in field of education for over 30 years as Teacher, Daycare Director and Principal, then retired. Before this he worked as a Production Manager with the Pontiac Waterford Times. You may see him in the off season working as a school bus driver and as a Brakeman at Huckleberry Railroad. Santa Tim is an Ordained Minister for over 30 years. As an Ordained Minister, Santa Tim has officiated innumerable wedding ceremonies. He has performed in Community Theater for over 40 years and has portrayed Santa Claus many years with the Holly Dickens Festival, Bass Pro/Cabela’s, Crossroads Village, Masonic Pathways, Canterbury Village, Fenton Village Players and many parades. He has been on local TV with channel 5 and 12 and been featured in the Tri County Times and the Oakland Press. Santa Tim has even had his own radio show with WPON for several years and is a published author and songwriter. Santa Tim has been a resident of Oakland County for over 60 years. He is married to Mrs. Ellen Claus for many, many years. He is a proud father of 7 children and grandfather of 6 and has been a foster parent! As you might have guessed that Santa Tim's favorite holiday is Christmas and his favorite quote is “Santa enters through the heart of each child, making a difference one child at a time.” ~Santa Tim Terpening
