Thank you, Steven! We loved playing for Lenore's birthday bash!
Matt was a wonderful saxophonist who played the entire wedding day! He played along with the DJ for the reception and ceremony! He was very energetic for the reception, which was the perfect atmosphere for dancing! The cocktail hour, which he solely performed, was a lot of guests favorite part! I got so many compliments on having him there playing! Highly recommend having him at your next event!!
Matt is an extremely nice guy and as great of a sax player. He made the party. I had people all night asking me "where the hell did you find this guy? He's amazing!" I will definitely use, or at least attempt to use, Matt's musical talents down the road.

Talented and professional! These folks are a class act and definitely worth watching live. This duo packs the punch of a full band and have a robust sound, which is quite surprising to see live. Plus, both are multi-instrumentalists with a lot of creativity up their sleeves. Hear your favorite songs sung by the two. They have a large catalog of music in many genres. Surely, you'll hear all your favorites. Had the pleasure of working for them briefly and enjoyed my time immensely. Looking forward to seeing them live again in the near future. If you're in the market for hiring a band, look no further than the Midwest Mixtape Duo!

About
Hi, We're Matt and Laura Lee Crandall! Here's a little about us both:
Matt -- I originally hail from Topeka, Kansas, but have called Kansas City home for many years. I have two music degrees from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music. I'm a member of the 312th Army Reserve Band, based in Lawrence, KS, where I performs on guitar and woodwinds in a variety of groups–pop, jazz, and wind band. In addition to performing, I also teach music at a local high school.
I love to make my clients' events something special and unique for them and their guests. I have played countless private events, including weddings, engagement parties, business events, quinceañeras, anniversary parties...and more!
Laura Lee - I grew up in Oklahoma and Nevada, then came up to Kansas City to attend the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where I graduated with a degree in Percussion Performance (drums!!!) at the Conservatory of Music. I have played in many groups, with a huge range of style and genres--- pop, rock, country, traditional Mexican Marimba, jazz, orchestral music--I've had wonderful variety in my music career. Besides playing with Midwest Mixtape, I also play drums and sing with Midnight Rodeo, a Kansas City based country cover band. I also own and run a music school, KC Rock Band & Guitar School of Music, where I also teach drum set.
