Mike was hired for my 60th birthday and was incredible. Very professional and very responsive leading up to the event. If I ever need a pianist again he will absolutely be the first person I contact.
Mike is a very talented and professional entertainer. Highly recommended.

Great setting in which to perform...loved it!
Mike played our 8 yo girl Mardi Gras party. He was sensational! Leading a parade; playing Under the Sea for the gals to Limbo to. Lots of Disney classics. brought beads for the girls to win with correct answers. definitely went with the flow of a crazy glitterfilled girl party. Thank you Mike!

What a fun party...it's easy to perform for such a terrific group of kids! Thanks.
I so enjoyed Mike. He even played along with our party fun of "Name That Tune". He was so accommodating, friendly and professional. Larry was blown away with his piano and organ skills. Mike even played polka music on request. He was dressed for the occasion and arrived 30 minutes early as promised with a great selection of music. We highly recommend Mike for any party. He encouraged audience participation. So yes! He was great, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
Response from Mike Beckley:
It's easy to play for a crowd that's welcoming, receptive and just plain fun. I had a great time too!
Two thumbs up! Great ability to play to the group as event dictates and he's so very nice. I've attended two events in past three years featuring Mike, and he doesn't disappoint!

Playing for an enthusiastic group creates good performance and a great event.
I hired Mike to play background music at our annual Christmas Party. Not only did he deliver musically, he was a joy to work with! He was super responsive to inquiries, positive and upbeat about the performance and a great all-around entertainer. Plus, his prices were incredibly reasonable. I would definitely recommend Mike to anyone - he's professional, experienced and positive. Truly the triple threat!
Response from Mike Beckley:
It's easy to entertain a responsive, friendly, participative crowd!! Personally, I enjoyed it too.
Mike was a wonderful musician, playing both the keyboard and the accordion. He took requests, played the keyboard for awhile and then strolled around playing the accordion to the various groups. He interacted wonderfully with all the guests both young and old. He really made our event special. Molly Peeler

An audience should expect professional piano or accordion music, willingness to accept requests, lively banter and friendly interaction, and occasional "show-stopper" numbers. My "Accordion Extravaganza" is a delightful 50 minute show about the history and development of the accordion including ethnic pieces, audience interaction, and a virtuoso finale. Generally, the range of music will suit the audience with titles from Chopin to Billy Joel. I can provide my own keyboard as required, and of course bring my accordion. Amplification is possible if required.
With regard to organ music, I am well versed in pipe organs as well as electronic, and can offer musical selections suitable for most religious services and denominations. In these cases music is typically selected by the church, or in the case of a wedding, the bride.
I also offer a unique duo with an accomplished violinist, Al Colombo, for an enhanced musical presentation, including strolling to table-side. Combining violin and keyboard offers a delightful alternative to ordinary background music, and a festive and elegant ambiance to any occasion.
I will appear dressed to suit the occasion, from tuxedo to lederhosen, and I am always punctual, sober and will-groomed. As the event winds down I am forgiving with regards to concluding time, but I am able to leave the premises within 10 - 15 minutes after ending.
Music has been a cornerstone of my life ever since childhood when I began years of professional training on both the accordion and the piano, and later the organ. Throughout my business career I have maintained and further developed my musical skills, and have consistently performed throughout the years. I enjoy music and want others to enjoy it too.
My piano style and presentation is sophisticated and I enjoy performing in settings that are seeking to enhance their celebration with a touch a class. This ambience can be further embellished when I team with Al Colombo, an interesting and accomplished violinist. Al and I can turn any occasion into a special event, and create the personalized and intimate setting that only "strolling" through the crowd can accomplish. Rates for the duo are available on request.
When it comes to the Accordion, anything goes. Originally a "folk instrument", the accordion lends itself to lively fun...from Oktoberfest to Polka Parties and other types of ethnic music. The accordion is a real crowd pleaser that gets people at least toe tapping, if not on their feet dancing. There is a definite resurgence of interest in accordion music and it offers an interesting musical alternative.
The best of all worlds is the combination of both piano/accordion and violin to create memorable musical event and cater to virtually any taste.
While I can provide a high quality Yamaha keyboard and amplifier if required for piano gigs, I prefer to have an acoustic piano on site. The piano should be in good working condition and in tune. I will not perform on instruments that are in disrepair. An electrical outlet must be available within a reasonable distance. With regard to the accordion, the client must specify in advance if they require a single location or would like "strolling" throughout the venue as this affects amplification (if necessary).

My piano style is best characterized as "piano-bar" for general music. For performance purposes, my piano styling has been heavily influenced by Liberace.
The accordion is adaptive to many styles depending upon the nature of the audience, but typically has a decidedly ethnic flavor, which in my case includes German, Italian and Polish. In a restaurant or club setting, I prefer the styling of Charles Magnante or Dick Contino.
