About Me
From a very early age Michael was predisposed to music. His earliest memories were of his father playing guitar. Born in Victoria B.C. and spending a great deal of time in Calgary AB Having his first music lesson at the age of eight there, he went on to develop his skills in recitals and competitions through out his teen years. Michael has several levels of formal education including an opportunity with the B. Mus program at Capilano University under the direction of Mr. Gordie Roberts and the mentorship of Dr. Stephen Boswell. As well as undergraduate studies with Zion School of Music in Edmonton AB. He currently resides in PEI.
Musical influences in Michael's life include but are not limited to The Beatles, Cole Porter, S.O.A.D, Munk, Beethoven, Paul Simon, Elton John, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Frank Zappa, Bach, Charlie Parker, Bob Dylan, Joan Biaz and Elvis. "I appreciate some artists not for what they bring to music, but what they deliver on stage."
