Mike Bryant - Artist
Nashville, Tn. - Mike Bryant was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and was the 3rd child
in a family of 4 children. At a young age of 6, Mike bagan showing signs that he inherited
his father's musical talent by winning his first talent contest at his school's Christmas
talent show. At the age of 9 Mike was already writing lyrics to songs and writing poetry.
The ignition to his musical career came at the age of 14 when he lerned to play the guitar.
One of Mike's friends, Glenn Perry, along with Mike, began performing duo's every Sunday
at church. With the help of Glenn's father, they began doing shows on Saturday nights at an old feed barn that they fixed up. Then came the local TV shows such as "Daybreak Show", Peggy Mann's "Femfare", and "The Uncle Paul Show". Even when Mike was in the military, he would perform. In 2005, Mike moved to Nashville to concentrate on his music.
His lead single, "A Single Yellow Rose" is off his CD, "If I Could Write A Song" which
was released in 2008. This song was written in loving memory of his mother who passed
away in 1995. "It's a ballad to empress upon people to always let the people you care about
know how you feel in case you lose that chance forever".
This CD portrays Mike's story telling style. His words are so thought procoking and
full of emotion. Add in that, 'all so identifiable' twang of that country sound, it brings out
every emotion you have. You live his life, through his words like you're watching a movie.
Mike's style of country allows you to step back into a time when things were simpler
than they are today. Every human being who listens to his music will take something
important from it. Enjoy his music. This one is a definite "must buy" in my book.
Mike has won the 2008 Outstanding Achievement Award by the International Society
of Poetry and in 2006, 2007 and 2008 was nominated for Poet Of The Year.

I've been influenced my many over the years. As a songwriter, my influences were Hank Williams, John Denver, Bill Anderson and others. As a singer, and because of the power in my voice, my influences were Elvis Presley, Gary Morris, Gary Puckett and others. My biggest influence however was my dad.
