I am a Stand-Up comedian. I first began my career in New York City, in clubs such as The Comedy Cellar, Stand-Up New York, and Dangerfield's. I now live near Scranton Pa. and have performed at colleges and corporations, as well as theaters, night clubs and bars up and down the east coast. My performances are at times adult in subject matter, but are not at all distasteful or offensive. Feel free to check out excerpts (on this page) from my soon to be released album "Mike Grady-The Cider House Fool, performed live at Civil War Cider in Lewisburg, PA". I can travel up to 3 hours from Scranton, Pa. without lodging.
Thanks for checking me out!

Mike typically performs up to an hour of clean, yet adult oriented material. Mike talks about his small town up-bringing, his Irish heritage, and offers up anecdotes off his many misguided encounters with a world he struggles to understand. A Mike Grady show is never offensive, always on-point, contemporary, and most of all hilarious!
Mike Grady started on his Stand-up journey in New York City where he quickly moved up through the ranks and was soon performing in some of NYC best clubs: The Comedy Cellar, Stand-up New York, Gotham Comedy Club and Carolines'. Mike is also equally comfortable, and experienced, performing in a variety of other settings: colleges, corporate events, and church functions. His warm style shows how much fun it is to see the world as Mike does, and will leave you laughing for days!
I require little preparation on the part of the venue or client. I can perform in a small area, as all I use is a microphone, mic stand, wooden stool and 120 watt amplifier(s), all of which I can provide if you do not have them (additional cost may apply). I can perform on a stage or on the audience level floor. I only require that the audience be seated in front of the performance area, as tightly together, and as near the stage area as is comfortably possible. Also, the audience must be seated so that their eye line is below my eye line (audience looking up slightly) such as is achieved via a stage or the audience seated in chairs (not stools), if I am on the same floor, so that everyone can see the show well. Also no one is to be eating just before or during the course of the show (they may have drinks of course).
The audience MUST be aware that there will be a stand-up comedy performance at the event BEFORE the date of the show (on any media used for the gathering/event such as posters, invites etc.). Seating for the show must begin no later than 20 minutes before the show is scheduled to start, and all audience must be seated at show time. There should be no other distractions at the time of the performance (TV, Music, loud crowd noise nearby etc.). The show must be indoors (out door comedy does not work). Though I am a clean act, no small children should be in the audience as they can be distracting. Lastly, a simple introduction (I will write for you) must be given by someone who is at least reasonably comfortable with public speaking.
