As an acoustic performer I specialize in current pop hits to familiar classics. My work includes playing weddings, events, acoustic happy hours, acoustic brunch, and corporate holiday parties. I can play anything from a single special moment, and up to 5 hours for gatherings of any kind!
I cannot believe how easy it was to book entertainment for our event. The entire process from start to finish went so smooth.
Then there was MIKE JANSEN! He was AMAZING!! Mike's communication was always very professional. I felt very comfortable from start to finish. He was very prompt when it came to answering any questions before the big day. His talent I tell you, was a great addition to our event. Our guest was very entertained and had nothing but great compliments on him and his music. With the many different age groups attending our event, Mike was able to sing and play a variety of songs from Jimmie buffet to "The Neighbourhood", which is just what we needed. Mike played at our wedding and it was perfect. Everyone was asking where we found him. He was on time, always responsive and a great guy with amazing talent. Five stars all the way!
Mike was AMAZING! He played the perfect music for our setting, which was a beer garden on the beach. He had an awesome list of acoustic covers and everyone was raving about how great he was! He was so easy to work with and very attentive to the feel of the crowd. I definitely recommend him for your event.

Went to State Lake in downtown Chicago for a quick bite and a beer and stayed for over 2 hours just to listen to Mike. His voice is beautifully unique and his covers were uniquely his own yet true to the original. No dead moments during his set and a perfect, consistent performance. Oh and he plays the guitar really well.

Current radio hits, top 40s, Rock, Pop, Folk; Mike Jansen brings familiar tunes that a wide age group will enjoy. Mike loves to play all types of venues, private parties, corporate events, weddings, and festivals. He can also provide background/ceremony music for intimate occasions and perform anywhere from one special songs to 4 hours of music and entertainment.
I'd like to think curated my sound to cover a wide range of vocal styles. I have been playing acoustic gigs for 10 years. One of my main focuses is to switch between different genres and decades of music. With that it allows me to read my crowd or clients and play things that would keep the music interesting. I play cover gigs downtown Chicago witch often opens up opportunities to play weddings, private events, corporate events, happy hours, and street festivals.
