What to Expect
A personal appearance from Santa is very popular. Nothing beats the magic, awe, and wonder, generated in the heart and mind of a child, then an “in person” visit with Santa. Upon Santa’s arrival, keep your camera’s ready to capture the magical interaction between the children and Santa. Santa's Grand Entrance ignites the festivities, children of all ages are excited to see and talk with Santa.
Every personal appearance with Santa is somewhat a unique event. The interaction between the children, audience, attendees, and Santa will drive the event. Santa intends to bring an extraordinary Santa Claus Experience to each event. That being said, Santa's improvisational techniques engage and the flow of an event fluctuates.
Based on available time, there are some basic components Santa attempts to facilitate during an event:
**Grand Entrance - Santa is in the House - Greetings to all
**Interaction with children, parents and guests
** Storytime, Sing along, Q&A
**Individual family photos, listen to children's Christmas wishes
** Event Group Photo (if possible)
**Handout Gifts and/or Awards
** Count down to Open the gifts and Awards
**Santa's quiet exit while children are frantically opening gifts.
Home visit - Imagine passing along your Christmas holiday traditions, memories and your Santa memories to your children or grandchildren while promoting the Love, Joy and Spirit of Christmas.
It is important for all adults to participate in the visit, interact with Santa and the children and even sing along with short little Christmas songs. Everyone enjoys listening to, and asking questions of Santa, while Santa shares stories about the North Pole, Elves, Reindeer and more. Santa is always willing to answer questions, and even read aloud from a favorite holiday book (depending on the children’s attention span). Santa believes it is important to take time for family photos with Santa, not just Santa photos with the children. These photos create wonderful family memories that will last for years to come, long after the party is over and the children have grown. During a home visit, the host and families may want to strategically place gifts outside in a predetermined location for Santa to retrieve, place in his toy sack and bring in with him to hand out during the final stages of Santa’s visit. Once the gifts are handed out, it is usually time for Santa to exit.

About
Ho, Ho, Ho, Hello!
Thank you for your interest in Mile High Santa Claus. As a professional Santa Claus Portrayal Artist and Model, I provide personal appearances as Santa Claus throughout the Denver Metro Area. I maintain my Real Beard all year long, allowing me to be Santa everyday spreading the Christmas Spirit to everyone I encounter. I enjoy watching the positive reactions when they see Santa: at the grocery store, the gym, the pool, or at local community events. I have been told that in some countries it is considered "lucky" to see Santa during the year.
I appeared in a 2022 Nickelodeon Nickmas Football game TV promo Commercial with the Denver Broncos. It was so funny. Imagine these Pro-Football players sitting on Santa's knee sharing their Christmas wishes. Ho, Ho, Ho, Hysterical!
I am featured annually as Santa Claus for Downtown Boulder’s Annual Christmas Holiday Events; Saint Nick on the Bricks, Lights of December Parade, and their Switch on the Lights, Lighting Ceremony. Please come to Boulder and enjoy these free events. You can also take advantage of a free meet and greet visit with Santa, where you can take photos with your camera or phone.
My desire is to bring, (through personal appearance's), an extraordinary Santa Claus experience to your event, for your family, your children, your business, your customers and guests. As a professional, I am background checked annually and insured.
Why do I portray Santa Claus?
I portray Santa Claus because, I love Christmas, I love Children and I love the opportunity to celebrate the Joy of the Season with as many people and children as possible.
How did I get here, portraying Santa?
My children say, it is in my DNA. They say, I was born to be Santa. And now, after portraying this iconic Christmas Character for several years, I agree. However, I believe much of the Christmas Spirit was handed down for my parents and grandparents. Their love of Christmas was, " To Infinity and Beyond" Ho, Ho, Ho.
Did my career or work history prepare me to be Santa?
Not Directly. After High School, I served in the US Army. Then, I was employed by tech companies as an electronics technician. After 7 years of that, I created my own startup company. I built it into a profitable company of about 30 employees and sold it. The balance of my working life, I worked in sales, marketing, senior management, consulting and customer service. However, upon retiring, I provided full time daycare to my to enfant grandsons from 3 months old to three years.
What life experiences prepared me to portray Santa?
My Childhood, Fatherhood and Grand fatherhood prepared me for my Santa-hood. Ho, Ho, Ho.
Experiences gained from those 3 phases of life along with my Faith in JESUS CHRIST has provided me with love, peace and joy to share. Along with many fanciful stories. Stories that enhance my portrayal of Santa Claus. I won't take time to share them now, I will save them for Santa's visit with you.
Fatherhood, allowed me to experience raising 4 wonderful children 3 girls and 1 boy. I am proud to say , they all survived childhood and are now productive citizens with careers. Yippee! I can recall, when they were young, I created a video of Santa placing gifts around the Christmas tree. They were mesmerized for years.
Grand fatherhood - I was blessed with 3 grandsons. One is 16 and driving. The youngest 2, are 3 and 4 years old. Those two little guys will run you ragged, I am happy I survived 3 years of full time day care for those 2. However, they are great material for Santa. Their imagination just tickles me, I enjoy watching them play.

Helpful Hints to enhance your Holiday Visit with Santa Claus 2023
Everyone gets excited about Santa’s visit during a Holiday Party/Event.
1. Please Reserve a special parking place for Santa. This helps Santa a lot. Thank you!
a. Santa’s reserved parking space should be as close as possible to where Santa is appearing. If the visit is
at your home, leave an opening at the end of your driveway.
b. Businesses - Santa’s parking should be by the entrance you want him to use, front or back.
2. Plan where you want Santa to sit to visit with children, families and guests for photos.
a. Have a sturdy chair for Santa to sit on, remember children may want to sit on Santa’s knee. A straight-
back dining chair works the best. Please no folding chairs or by a roaring lit fireplace.
b. Place the Chair near your Christmas tree or in a holiday setting, with a foot or two around the chair
where guests can gather around Santa for group photos. Think about getting photos with everyone,
Family Photos will be a long-lasting memory, displayed year after year!
3. Someone (Host or Event Coordinator) should go outside to meet and guide Santa upon his arrival.
a. When Santa arrives, the host should go outside to meet Santa. The host can also help Santa fill his bag,
handle any last-minute details, plus any final payment for the event.
b. Then, when Santa is ready to enter, the host goes back in, and that is a cue to get everyone singing
Christmas carols. As they are singing, and at just the right moment, Santa will pop in.
4. If you want Santa to handout gifts at your party/event, have your gifts ready outside for Santa
a. Santa can carry in one medium sized bag of presents for children or guests. They should be well labeled.
Please use a large black (Sharpie) marker. Write name directly on the gift-wrapping paper, as tags fall
off. All packages should fit into one 35-gallon trash bag. Anymore, and it may be too heavy or awkward
for Santa to bring in.
5. If you have a large group of children to see Santa, please assign someone to be Santa’s helper!
a. The assigned helper will coordinate calling out names of the children and their family for coming up to
visit with Santa for photos.
6. Have your cameras and cell phone cameras charged and ready.
a. Have enough available storage memory for photos, and Good Room Lighting.
7. Hosts often want Santa to read aloud a selected holiday book. (Large print please)
a. Santa loves to read aloud to the children, tell stories, and answer questions. He has a few to bring.
b. Be flexible, Santa may have to redirect as determined by the age and attention span of the children or
scheduled visit time.
8. Gift giving time. Santa loves handing out gifts provided to him by host and parents.
a. Santa hands out the gifts towards the end of the visit. Why? (Children’s attention span)
b. Santa highly recommends that the perceived value of the gifts distributed are similar. This helps avoid
children comparing gifts and feeling devalued or preferentially treated. Santa wants to avoid jealous or
hurt feelings. (Books are always a wonderful gift for Santa to hand out.)
c. Santa’s knows it is Best to have the children wait to open their gift, until Santa has handed them all out.
Then, when the children are all tearing the wrappings and the chaos begins, Santa can take his leave
avoiding children peering outside for Santa’s Sleigh.
9. Communicate with Santa in advance any special requests,
a. Names, ages, and photos of the children and their families. Any special needs or considerations you
want Santa to know.
10. Most of all relax, enjoy, have fun, and spread Joy, Love, Peace, and the Christmas Spirit.
*** Every Santa visit is different based on real-time interaction with the children and guests. The actual
duration of Santa’s visit may vary slightly from the “booked time”. When the Gifts are handed out, the
children are ready to move on and say goodbye to Santa.
