Milyssa Rose is a passionate and multi-talented Pop Artist born in Detroit, Michigan. At age six, her family moved to Marietta, Georgia, where she resides. Since day one, she knew with every fiber of her being that entertainment was her ultimate aspiration. Growing up, the arts were always of primary focus. Milyssa participated in Community Theatre, modeling, various commercials, and numerous talent shows. To further perfect her musical craft, Milyssa also has been studying with a vocal coach for many years and recently started taking piano lessons.
Upon high school graduation, Milyssa delved into reality-based talent searches. However, her initial gut feeling led her to the conclusion that becoming an overnight celebrity was not the path to success she desired. She began writing lyrics and experimenting with various production teams in her late teens. Repeatedly, producers refused to take musical risks, which Milyssa yearned for. Her chief aim was and currently is to be a one-of-a-kind artist that challenges the status quo and deviates from the typical sound of mainstream artists. One-hundred percent determined to be a star, she signed to an indie label. Unfortunately, that label came across some hard times, and she was released from her contract. Not letting that get her down, she joined forces with Strong Foundation & Co., Papi Hey of 2 Gran Productions, Shazam X of Ugly Face Productions, Chethan Music, and Major Moves Recording Studios. Milyssa felt that being more involved in the creative process would expand her horizons and evolve her innate skills.
Milyssa gives a new spin to the title "Pop Artist." Her voice has a definite edge and is powerful and soulful with a dynamic range. Milyssa's CD has a song for anyone and everyone—from Pop to Rock, to Club Bangers, all the way to Hip Hop collaborations. Her approach continues to be versatile as she continues to expand her talents and think outside the box.
Milyssa is always open to performing at a variety of different venues. The venues she has performed at include Sweet Auburn Festival, the Rialto Theater, Athens Pride, South GA Pride, GA Equality, Under the Rainbow Athens, UGA, Piedmont Park, Smith's Olde Bar, Jungle, and Center Stage, and more. Her stage shows are widely known for consisting of vibrant energy and personality that you will remember. Milyssa has opened for B5, Kilo Ali, Faith Evans, Mykko Montana, Donnell Jones, and the Rich Kidz. Additionally, she has been featured on Keeping it 1K with Love and Hip Hop Atlanta's own Lil Scrappy. Her music has been played on R&B Divas and The Union of European Football Associations.
Over the years, Milyssa has won numerous awards, such as the AUMA Radio Best Female Vocalist (2015), Straight Ally 2014 for Meak Productions, Akademia Music Awards for Best Pop four times (2014/2016), Poze Records Best Music Video (April 2014), and Follow Because I am Hot (Hot Block Magazine, 2013).
Knowing no limitations, Milyssa has been intensely active in community fundraisers for many years—some of which include: People TV, The Shepherd's House, Rainbow House, 500 Songs for Kids, WOW Ministries, International Women of H.O.P.E. and Sosyete Koukouy of Atlanta.
Milyssa's music has been featured on R&B Divas/TV One, UEFA (Union of European Football Association), and Sounds of the Underground (Pilot Tv show). Her song "Fierce and Fabulous" was chosen to be featured and filmed for WOW Ministries' domestic violence project. You can also find her music on Coast to Coast mixtapes Pop, We Workin, and Makin Moves mixtapes. Milyssa's latest song with Latin Hip Hop artist Raxiel Sinz, "Can't lose your Love," was featured on Thisis50 and had over 20K hits on Vevo.
Most recent accomplishments include Milyssa performing on the most significant stage of her career in 2023 at the Centennial Olympic Park for the first-ever GA Talent Music Showcase for Look Up Atlanta. The event was live on Atlanta News First/Peachtree Tv as well. Over the years, she has won.
