MJ Moody

I booked MJ Moody to Emcee and also perform a comedy act for my 50th birthday party. MJ went above and beyond my expectations. His comedy act was hilarious! In fact I laughed until I cried at one point. He's definitely a funny guy. Prior to the event he asked questions about the audience, about myself, and my vision and he used the information to tailor the comedy for the crowd.
As the Emcee, he helped me plan the flow of the evening and assured me he would keep the night running smoothly, and he followed through. There was a major hiccup with the venue, MJ was quick on his feet to find solutions, I didn't expect this, but he was committed to his promise. MJ is a true professional, not only would I recommend him, but I would also work with him again.

We love you, MJ! Not only are you hilarious, but your a really nice guy. Thank you for coming into our home and making our friends and family laugh so hard! We had a great {shark} time (inside joke)! Thanks again!

I want to start by saying if you did not invite MJ to the party, then it is not a party. MJ Moody not only showed professionalism through the setup from acquiring his services but went above and beyond by communicating every step. Not to go over the top, but MJ Moody is the pinnacle of funny he will have you hurting from laughter from start to finish. A lot goes into comedy, and MJ made sure the event was set for success. I appreciate how MJ worked the audience in and had everyone participate in the show. As I stated, if you did not bring MJ Moody to the party, then it isn't now party!

He was awesome and everybody loved him! We have never had a party with a comedian as the entertainment. It turned out great and I highly recommend MJ Moody as he can entertain and engage all ages!

We had MJ out to entertain during a holiday party for internal employees and our prospects and customers. He struck a perfect balance with his comedy and engaged the crowd from the get-go. As the event organizer, I was not just enjoying the comedy myself, but was paying extra attention to the audience throughout and they loved his set. MJ was booked for our annual summer party on June 1st. He was prompt and a very nice guy. He fit in well with our crowd. He was performing in our back yard and was interrupted several times by arriving guests and finally a hellacious thunder storm that wouldn't stop. MJ performed this evening at my brothers celebration of life party. My brother wanted a party after his memorial service. I was uncomfortable throwing a “party” for my deceased brother. But that is what he wanted. Then I wondered how or what kind of entertainment for a memorial party? My brother is known for his quick wit and always making people laugh so I thought, I wonder if I could find a comedian for the party? I went to google, found gigsalad.com, I answered a few questions about the event and I was matched with 10 vendors. Well, MJ was the first vendor to respond to me. His pricing is very reasonable and his reviews were great. I immediately hired MJ. And I was NOT disappointed. MJ contacted me right away. He stayed in contact with me all week. He asked great questions about the event and about my brother to personalize some of his show. IT WAS PERFECT!! MJ, I can’t thank you enough for what you did tonight. You made my brothers memorial party a complete success. Everyone laughed so much. Thank you for stepping out and taking on something new....a memorial party! You Sir are a true gentleman and a complete professional with a heart of gold. I have no doubt my brother was smiling down on you tonight.

I’ll bet you never thought you’d get a review title like that but today you made my friend’s funeral a true celebration and I know he would have laughed just as hard as the rest of us had he been there. You did a fantastic job. Thank you for the laughs.

My wife and I had a batman themed wedding, and we have to say he was the best joker there! Laughter has been a big part of our relationship. We found MJ on youtube and couldn't stop laughing. We got in touch, he invited us to one of his shows, and the rest was history. MJ provided the perfect touch to our already awesome/unique wedding. He was very easy to work with, connected with our guest genuinely, by the end of the night we considered him family! He left a lasting impression for a night we'll never forget! Highly recommend MJ for any event, especially Batman themed weddings. :)

MJ was a blast to watch and listen too. His jokes were outstanding and had everyone laughing so hard. He was able to work the crowd and figure out what would make us laugh, and with some of us that is very hard. Great job!!!

We were more than impressed with MJ's performance. He did a great job tailoring the performance to keep it clean for the kids present but also very entertaining for the adults. He interacted with the audience, used personal stories, and encouraged everyone to get up and share stories after his performance. We couldn't have been more pleased with MJ. We appreciated his time and his 22 years of service with the U.S. Navy.

He was so professional and worked so well with my with the dj, the party coordinator and photographs that everyone I talked to after the event, thought they were a packaged deal.

Friends I had a fabulous time Sunday night at Angela's birthday comedy show with comedian MJ Moody. His entire show was awesome and I think at times I cried from laughing so hard. MJ Moody is perfectly poised to be the next big thing. This guy has to be the best stand-up comedian that I have seen in years. I have promoted comedy shows for over 20 years from Cedric The Entertainer to the late Bernie Mac and I've never laughed so hard in my life before. He is the best out there today by a long shot. Not only does he speak so many true statements about everyday life that people never think about until they hear it but he makes it absolutely hilarious. If he continues to come out with more stuff as good or funnier than what he has out right now, I believe that he will go down as the best comedian of all time. If you are looking to book a comedy this is your man.

The Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation is a regional police support organization, designed to assist the families of police officers killed or critically injured in the line of duty. The Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation Holiday Celebration event occurred on Saturday, December 12, 2015. The event was designed to help bring support for our fallen military heroes and police officers. The crowd was an upscale, middle aged, racially diverse group that consisted of 250 attendees: members from regional law enforcement agencies, business executives, attorneys, political leaders (Congressman, Senators, Dallas City Councilmen, District Judges, FBI Executives) and most importantly the families of fallen officers.
Mr. Moody found the appropriate balance of comedy to entertain this relatively conservative crowd. Moody's comedy broke many barriers and made the experience fun and pleasant for everyone including our widows and survivors. We are all very proud of the work and preparation that Mr. Moody displayed for our event. Mr. moody should be commented for his level of professionalism and tact in his comedy performance at this event. We will definitely book Mr. Moody for our future events.. --- This comedian comes highly recommended from a group of police officers that are often difficult to please.-- Trust me- he was great!! :-)

MJ came early and by the time it was time to perform, he had adapted so well to the group/party guests. This was my wife's surprise birthday party.
The party was a surprise to her, but what was more surprising to her and the guests, was MJ's performance. The party was full of people from all walks of life, a mixed group of fine people; friends and family . MJ was clean with the language, and he kept people on their toes, lots of laughs. The food was great, the staging of the party was great (13th Floor), but MJ's performance made the surprise party greater and more surprising. Yes, the talk continues about your performance; it was awesome and propelled my wife's happiness to a higher level.
Definitely, will use your services again, and I highly recommend MJ Moody to anyone looking for a FINE COMEDIAN in Metroplex and beyond.

Mj Moody, Barry Whitewater and jasmine Ellis came out to Double 007 Bar/Lounge and did a wonderful comedy performance. They showed up on time was very professional and kept the whole crowd laughing I very much recommend them to anyone needing good comedians.

So professional! MJ kept in contact with us all the way up to our event. He wrote some original jokes tailored to our event. Being former military, he brought a unique perspective as a comedian in front of a military crowd, yet was also armed with material for the non-military crowd.

What did I love most about him? He didn't just do his set and leave! He became the defacto MC! He got people up and dancing, and generally having a great time! I have been to many of these military Christmas parties, and I have never seen people get up and dance. Everyone was having so much fun that the two kegs of beer that are usually floating before dinner required 3 men each to carry out!

Overall, I truly believe that he turned what could have been a ho-hum party into a smashing success. I've since ran out of the stack of business cards he left me with. All of the other squadrons were talking about booking him for their Christmas parties next year.
