I have been touring the Nation now performing concerts, entertainment for MSC Cruise line, and art festivals. My music is all original, uplifting piano music that can either blend into the environment or become a full scale concert depending on the needs of the client. Although many of my own songs have sheet music written for them, what I cannot do is read sheet music so that does limit me for some opportunities.
Elijah did a wonderful job entertaining our guests. He was extremely talented, professional, friendly. Our residents at our senior living community absolutely loved his music.
Response from Modern Classical Piano Composer:
Thanks for having me! I really enjoyed performing for everyone there.
Elijah showed up a few min. early to get settled in. He was calm, courteous, and very easy to work with. I threw him a little curve ball at the last minute by asking him to periodically pause playing during our event so we could toast and recite poetry to our guest of honor. He immediately picked up on my cues and perfectly accommodated my request to pause and restart playing. His talent is beyond words. We were blown away at how he managed to weave together several hours of music that matched the party’s mood perfectly. Her would absolutely love to have Elijah back to perform at future parties.
Our membership loved Elijah!

What you can expect from a performance by Elijah Bossenbroek is that he will provide a 100% unique piano experience that will be both entertaining and delightful to be a part of. He is extremely professional, and passionate in his piano playing and owns all of his own equipment for any occasion. What Elijah cannot do is perform other people's music, so if you're looking for someone to play "Free Bird", I hate to say it, but I'm not your guy.
Elijah Bossenbroek was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He started taking piano lessons at age six, but wasn't a typical piano student. He often hated the dull repetition behind learning notes and playing to metronomes. Frustrated with playing by the rules, Elijah began writing his own piano compositions at age fourteen.
At the age of eighteen, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent the better part of 5 years traveling to places such as Mississippi, Japan, California, and Kuwait. He would find any opportunity he could to fiddle around on a piano, even taking a small keyboard to Kuwait with him in the midst of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Upon his return from the deserts of Kuwait, and working a few odd jobs, his Mom told him she would pay him two months salary if he would quit his job and record a CD. With very little persuasion, Elijah purchased a home recording studio and began working on his first album, and two months later "Harmony In Disarray" was born. This CD caught the attention of an A&R of "A Matter of Substance Records" and Elijah Bossenbroek signed on to have them help produce and market his second album "Carpe Lumen"
Since then, Elijah Bossenbroek has bought out of his contract with A Matter Of Substance and is once again an independent artist and loving the freedom that comes with that! He performs throughout the Nation for various Art, Wine, Music Festivals and small venues. He is also branching out into scoring music for a couple films and licensing his previous recordings for marketing purposes throughout the World.
If you have a piano on site, that's all the better for me. If not, I'm sure I can accommodate with my own keyboard and sound system. All that would be required is a plug outlet nearby.
