Monica Danae Ricketts has played Marilyn Monroe professionally since 2014 and has portrayed the Hollywood Starlet at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Japan and all around the country in musicals, films and special events. Honoring Marilyn's image is of utmost importance to her, so she has spent years researching her history and has extensive knowledge about her life. Not only is she an actor, but she also is a trained vocalist and loves to incorporate singing into her events. She recently moved to New York City from Los Angeles, California and is excited to bring Marilyn's legacy to the east coast.
Sadly, I was unable to be there for the event, but the family members that were there have told me that Modern Marilyn did a wonderful job. The actual words from the birthday boy were "She was Great!!"

Modern Marilyn knocked it out of the Park from beginning to end. We had guests from 5 yrs old to 85 years old & she was able to relate to every age group. Her talents were endless. Singing, dancing, keeping the crowd engaged. A true a Broadway performance right in our backyard!
By far the best impression of Marlyn Monroe I have ever seen. My family enjoyed the surprise visit and birthday singing. Definitely highly recommended. Thank you for making my wife’s birthday special and unique.
If it was possible to bring Marilyn back to life, Monica has found the way, and IMHO, Marilyn would be thrilled at her doing so. She is remarkable!
