M.O.G /Gospel Rapper

An M.O.G show is full of energy and passion. The audience can expect to be involved in the music to also be educated on the message of the song. I love to involve the audience and create moments that they can remember.

Minneapolis Minnesota native Darelle “M.O.G” Williams believes in living up to every bit of his stage name. M.O.G aka Man of God a husband and father of three takes God, Family, and music to heart. Growing up with a single parent and barely escaping peer pressure, sex, drugs and violent crime. Faith has been the only thing that grounded M.O.G. to become a better man than the poor examples he saw in his neighborhood.

M.O.G initially discovered his gift as a writer in high school after wining several poetry competitions and being honored for his writing style. Hip-hop was not his forte. Into his adult Christian life M.O.G realized the need for an antidote to the negative demoralizing mainstream music industry. He than decided, he would use his ability for poetry to make music that would edify culture.

Shortly after recording his first few songs he was performing in local community centers churches. M.O.G decided to record his debut album “BUILD ME”. Set to release 07/04/14. During the recording of his project he teamed up with two colleagues and released a cover of a popular Jay-Z & Kanye Wes song “No church in the wild”, M.O.G’s cover of this song has been released on You Tube and reached 198K views. My show requirements typically will involve two microphones., preferably chord-less. I typically have one other artist to assist me during live performances. I'm also going to need to be able to play my tracks either from my laptop or from my iPod, depending on the length of the set list. House speakers, monitors and stage lighting preferred. I would also request that the hosts provide a sound man to assist with levels.
