Monica Bassi

If hired, you will get a speaker that will work with you throughout the planning phase. For my last gig, I worked with the committee one week beforehand and helped them refine their program. Although it was outside the scope of my work, I did whatever it took to ensure their event was a massive success.

I am always on time, dressed the part, and full of positive energy.

Monica was born in Canada and raised in Tampa, Florida. From an early age she had a passion for learning and travel which led her to become a multi-talented, multi-faceted Speaker.

At the young age of 16 Monica managed to trade in her senior year of high school for her freshman year at University. It was at University that she learned to balance her passion with her responsibilities. Monica was an active member, and on the Executive Board, of several student organizations. Meanwhile, she completed her degree in Management Information Systems at the age of 20 and entered the world of Corporate America.

Monica quickly learned the skills necessary to thrive in an office environment. Being the youngest employee, female, and a minority, she faced several hurdles before her voice would be heard and her skills acknowledged. For the latter half of her professional career Monica has worked in management roles, spearheading large projects and leading a global staff of Computer Engineers.

Alongside her professional career, Monica established a real estate portfolio, ran her own business, traveled to 23 countries, and produced media content consisting of short films, a blog, and a web series.

In 2012 Monica moved to New York City to continue growing in the realm of media. She began working with international networks Zee TV and B4U where she would write and host several television shows, including the South Asian Film Festival annual special and Dance India Dance. Two of Monica's short films also enjoyed their premiere at various film festivals across North America. It was during this time that she honed her speaking skills and embraced the stage.

Whether it is about thriving in the workplace as a minority, breaking one's own barriers, or learning the delicate art of balance, Monica is equipped to speak and empower audiences. She has taken her own story and coupled it with what she has learned about humanity through her rich experiences and travels and turned it into a series of talks. Monica brings eloquence, charisma, and professionalism with her on stage.

When Monica isn't working she is a wife and mom to a one year old baby girl. Life has neither started nor is anywhere near complete for her. Everything Monica has accomplished has been a product of her fierce determination. From maintaining a progressive career in IT to making strides in media and growing as a Speaker, Monica continues to push her limits and live every experience to the fullest.

Personal Message

The stage is a platform where ideas can be heard, connections made, and inspiration blooms. We all have powers within us that need only recognition to flourish. As a Motivational Speaker my power is to recognize the potential in others and help them become the best version of themselves.
