Set your event off right with Live Music. I am a Jazz Musician, specializing in Woodwinds. I provide music for any occasion and live music will give your functions that 'classy' feel. I am a self-contained artist - I play many styles of music, specializing in Jazz, and Smooth Jazz, but also offer R&B, Pop, Big Band, and Classical selections. I have tracks that offer a full sound. You'll hardly miss having a full band. I also have many musician friends that I can call on to make up Duos, Trios, Quartets, or Quintets, etc - just let me know what you need and I'll be happy to put something together for you.

Our party was originally scheduled for Jan 8 th, but had to be moved to the next weekend due to Covid . James was so accommodating and came the next weekend. He was perfect for our event! Artiste was mostly unresponsive to a stream of messages from me. Attendance was on time, even early, but the actual performance lacked verve, was hardly inspiring and just about did the required minimum. Frankly, it left a lot to be desired.

I played "Happy Birthday" in two different styles - two songs - stayed a total of 10 minutes, client's phone was unreachable (in Nigeria) we were able to communicate thru texts - I don't know what I could have done differently - not sure how much 'verve' you can put into Happy Birthday -

I hired Mr. Montgomery for my mom's 90th birthday because due to Covid we are unable to go anywhere and listen to live music, which she loves to do. He was great! We were able to social distance outdoors and he setup and played at the bottom of my sister's driveway, and it was so fun! My mom ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. We all danced around (masked) at the top of my sister's driveway. I would highly recommend him for a fun birthday gift during Covid that can be socially distanced outdoors, or at your party once we are able to get back to normal. A+

Despite the circumstances (my mother's memorial service), Mr. Montgomery was excellent. The guests came up to me after the service asking about Mr. Montgomery and expressing that they thoroughly enjoyed his renditions songs with the saxophone and flute. Mr. Montgomery arrived an hour earlier to set up and conduct a sound check. He was very courteous and the program flowed gracefully with his assistance. My family will definitely be using him for future events.

Poor communication with me I called and left messages. He said he was busy all week🥴 explained what I needed him to do he agreed he did, his performance did not show it. He was an Hour late, ( said he had a flate luckily the DJ was able to fill the void.

I had an incident on the way to the job that affected my normal arrival time of an hour prior to performances - I called when I saw that I may be arriving later than promised - I arrived at the promised time no fill in necessary started within 15 minutes of arrival. Client is also citing my arrival as an hour late - not true - I arrive to all jobs an hour early - client is citing my desired arrival as if I was slated to start an hour early - I was at most 5 minutes later than job start time and the DJ didn't even get through a song before I was ready to play there was no appreciable 'void' - not an accurate review by any means -
Performer was ill prepared, played tentatively and only played the featured instrument twice, briefly. He played the flute more, which could hardly be heard in a small setting. Sadly he did not add to the festivities.....it was more of a distraction. Personality wise he was gracious, but unfit for the event.

Total equipment malfunction - I keep backup equipment in case of problems on a set - but this time both iPods (one malfunctioning and the other ‘missing’ somehow) and my iPad were not functioning - I explained as best I could to client but I hate making excuses and was flabbergasted by not seeming to be prepared, I did however, play the songs requested by client and more without tracks.
This is a wonderful man, very talented and capable as a “solo act” if that is what you are looking for (like we were). We had a birthday party for a large group, and he travelled a very long way to play smooth jazz as requested. Very reliable! Many commented on how great the music was and I especially appreciated how easy our communication was before, during and at the end of the event. Thank you again, you made my father and all of us very happy!

If you are looking to surprise your mate with a private evening with dinner and music at your favorite destination then I would recommend Mr. Montgomery. He came to San Luis Obispo and played for 2 hours for my girlfriend and I on the beach watching the sunset. Music was amazing and very professional.

Wes came and set up one hour early before start time, started playing for guest before his start time. He showed patience while the younger generation took over his computer to play other genre of music. He stayed later than originally planned at an extra fee! He was neat and mingled well with others. Very satisfied with his performance.

I am an experienced musician - a client can expect professionalism, appropriate dress, great musicianship, versatility, workability/cooperative, very dependable, and hassle-free relations. My repertoire is constantly increasing with new songs being added all the time. I am fully self-contained in my solo gigs - I have my own Amps, Instruments, and Mics - I always arrive 30 to 45 mins early for set-ups and equipment load-ins - great communications. I will do everything in my power to help make your event a success!

My name is Wynell Montgomery and I am a Jazz Musician primarily, I also do R&B, Pop, and classical. I play Tenor Sax, Flute, Clarinet, and Bassoon on occasion. I have had extensive experience as a Jazz Saxophonist, Pit Orchestra member, and Flute Soloist. I have worked professionally with many artists in the industry, some of whom were Billy Preston, Johnny 'Guitar' Watson, O C Smith, Brenton Wood, Lorez Alexandria, and Solomon Burke. My talent and repertoire will lend a classy feel to your event and I will try to accommodate your every preference.
