You can expect Monya to perform to your liking. If you want intimate and serene then that is what she will do, if you want a full blown rock out then she has got your back. Either way you will adore her by the end of the performance!

A native St. Louis vocalist and self proclaimed diva. Monya performs with class, heart and soul. Her music style ranges from R&B, Pop, Country, Jazz and Gospel which makes her one of the most universal musicians out there today.

Monya began her musical career at a very young age, singing in the local church choirs. Those close to her quickly learned that her voice could not be kept within the confines of the church. She performed with the hot gospel stage play Be Careful What You Pray For produced by Marvelous Entertainment in Los Angeles, CA.

Monya has performed alongside music legends such as Rod Stewart, Mary Wilson, Della Reese, and Martha Reeves of the Vandellas. She was asked to compete in a talent show produced by Queen Latifah, and won the Ameristar Superstar vocal competition in 2006 taking home the grand prize. Monya has also performed professionally with some of St. Louis’ top bands, including Mystic Voyage and Quartet Trebien. She provided lead and background vocals for a popular St. Louis group called Satin, delighting audiences with marvelous hits of Motown sounds

Monya most recently headlined at Twilight Tuesday as part of the Missouri History Museum concert series where she drew in a huge crowd to hear her dynamic vocal abilities. Her talent was brought to the Kransberg Theatre in Grand Center where she performed a solo musical act for two sold out performances and was asked to add two additional performances that subsequently also sold out.

Her corporate client list includes the NAACP, Charter Communications, International Institute of St. Louis, Top Ladies of Distinction, Stations Casino, Ameren UE, Anheuser-Busch Companies, and many more.

Her smooth voice, infectious personality and no fail attitude has impressed thousands of fans over the years, and she has no plans at turning back. Future endeavors to include additional headlining events and recording her first EP and/or album
