Moon City is an alternative pop band from the heartland of America.(Springfield MO) We work hard at bringing a "produced" sound to every to every performance. As students of 70's and 80's pop and rock Moon City's original work evokes a classic and nostalgic feel. Our music is unapologetically sentimental, it flickers with transcendence, and is full of energetic romanticism. Think Tears For Fears, think Springsteen, think 2018.

We will bring our own instruments, 1/4" cables, and amplifiers. For most bookings we will bring our own sound engineer and must have ample time to do a complete soundcheck prior to performance (this ensures the quality of our production for your event). In the event that we do not bring our own sound engineer the venue must provide a sound guy for our complete and thorough soundcheck.
We play with backing tracks so we must have a passive signal from an aux out of the soundboard to go to our drummers in ear monitoring mixer.
Some of the items in our stage/setup requirements are negotiable in certain circumstances. We can provide many of the required items ourselves but our bid price will increase accordingly.
If multiple bands are performing we prefer to share a drum kit. If event is 200 or more miles away we would like to negotiate a possible drum kit rental.
