Moontower Mermaid

Mermaids require the assistance of a pirate to traverse from the dressing area to the performance space. The Moontower Mermaid sits on a throne among the gold and jewels of a treasure chest that can be hauled out by my treasure hungry assistant as part of the performance. Once in the performance space, the Moontower Mermaid provides a variety of entertainment possibilities and performances can easily be customized to your event.

The Moontower Mermaid is the aquatic siren persona of burlesque dancer Something Blue. Blue is a member of The Jigglewatts Burlesque Revue in Austin, TX and has been an entertainer for private events since 2012. With experience as a Vegas Showgirl, flapper, gogo dancer, atmospheric performer and more, Ms. Blue is sure to bring a touch of whimsical glamour to your event. As a dancer, she has performed all over the United States and Europe, and has been featured at the Texas, Dallas, Colorado, Oregon, Mile High and Munich burlesque festivals. She won the top prize at the Texas Metal Burlesque and Variety Festival in 2019. Blue can also be heard on the radio airwaves at WJST Jet Set Radio as Chief Stewardess. Ms. Blue is a classically trained vocalist with 4 years of voice lessons and notable performances at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Carnegie Hall. She has formal training in jazz and movement from the Broadway Dance Center and Alvin Ailey Studios in New York City.

As a mermaid, Blue performs in the water or on land with a variety of skills to entertain your guests including an extensive knowledge of dirty limericks, mermaid jokes, bubble magic, sea shanties, folk lore, ocean facts and more. An experienced swimmer and underwater model, the Moontower Mermaid is right at home splashing around in a pool or tank. Blue brings a wardrobe of high quality, unique, flashy tails that will have your guests swimming for photos. With various levels of costuming from fully covered to seashell pasties, this adult mermaid experience can be customized to any event. Blue's saucy performance style is best suited for grown up children-at-heart, but family friendly entertainment is negotiable!
