Rest If You Must, But Don't You QUIT!"- Edgar Guest
Don't Quit! is the theme Margaret Hall Harris lives by. Over the span of a decade, Margaret lost her mother to cancer, survived a brain tumor, a stint in federal prison, and the death of her teenage son.
Yet she didn't quit. Reenrolling in college at 42 years old, she earned 3 degrees (AA, BA, MA) in five years--graduating at the top of her class in May 2022.
She seeks to empower and encourage her audiences to strive for greatness, follow their dreams, and fight back against accepting failure! It is her goal to strengthen anyone who is struggling--or striving towards success.
Margaret doesn't know how to quit or let life win. Do you?

You can expect a clear, concise, charismatic speaker, who is passionate about encouraging others to reach their goals, despite whatever adversity they may face. I try to make everyone I encounter smile, and bring a positive perspective to every event. Whether someone is seeking a promotion, starting a business, or moving to a new level in life, it is important that everyone is encouraged to do their best as they navigate this journey we call life. I enjoy bringing out the best in others.
I am low-maintenance, no diva behavior. I am more concerned about delivering a great message than anything. I am easy to work with, and only ask to be treated as I treat you. I offer a great experience at an affordable price!
I am a recent graduate of Arizona State University, graduating in May 2022, as the student speaker for the Interdisciplinary College. Over the past five years, I've earned three degrees, graduating Summa Cum Laude with my associates, bachelors and masters. My road to success was paved with many obstacles, including the death of my son 90 days before my graduation. I've also survived a brain tumor, a prison sentence, having six children, and the death of my mother, all in the past 10 years.
I have passed every test life has given me. Adversity has only made me stronger.
I seek to pass this power of perseverance through my speaking engagements. I speak from experience and compassion. It is important to share that any mess can be made into a message, and a student is only as strong as the tests they take, not the ones they turn down.
I have a number of speaking experiences to draw from, including my most recent at the Nina Mason Pulliam Scholarship dinner in May 2022.
I have a passion for encouraging others; the only reason I've survived so many trials, is because someone had an encouraging word for me. I would love the opportunity to give that to someone else.
I am able to use any stage, and will occasionally use a PowerPoint presentation to accompany my speech. Other than that, no other special needs are required.
