Rev. Tamela A. Walker is a remarkable individual whose journey began in Chicago, Illinois before she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she excelled in her education within the Atlanta Public School System. From a young age, she was immersed in a rich spiritual environment as an active member of Greater Mount Calvary Baptist Church, pastored by her grandfather, the late Rev. Dr. Benjamin Joseph Johnson, Sr., and her uncle, the late Rev. Benjamin Joseph Johnson, Jr. Their guidance and teachings cultivated in her a profound understanding of theology that has shaped her life's mission.

Encouraged by her mother, the late Velma Johnson Butler, who taught her the art of opera singing, Rev. Walker's musical journey is profoundly influential. She had the honor of studying gospel music under the late Professor Thomas A. Dorsey, Sr.—her great uncle—who is celebrated worldwide as the Father of Gospel Music.

Since age five, music has played a transformative role in Rev. Walker's life, propelling her to share her gifts across multiple countries in both classical and gospel genres. As an accomplished author, she has penned two inspirational Christian novels, "A Loving Breeze." "Walking in Glory," Pathway Influences," Journey Beginning, and "The Importance of Being a Minister." Additionally, her creativity has blossomed through over 20 engaging Christian plays for youth, more than 100 heartfelt Christian poems, and a comprehensive Bible study curriculum. Rev.'s contributions are not just artistic; they are a testament to her dedication to inspiring others through faith and creativity.
