I had Corrine at my boyfriend's birthday party and it was amazing. It was a surprise for everyone and my guests went nuts for her. The show was really cool, we all loved it. Working with her before and after was great, too. She worked with me on all the details and was very easy to work with. The performance by Sobe had everyone in awe as she twirled and spun. Not only the kids, who sat still for longer than they had the entire evening, but the adults as well watched mesmerized as she worked her fire magic. Crystal never took her eyes off of Sobe as she watched to make sure the fire was always kept where it needed to be.

I had the very good fortune to hire Mourning Fyre for a small backyard birthday/ family reunion. I requested something small, maybe one or two performers, for one performance in the early evening, to be done in a rather tight space.
On the day agreed, Corinne and Jennifer arrived right on time . They came with everything they needed and quickly got set up. The only thing different from my request was instead of small, they brought big. Big and Wonderful ! When they lit up their fire, a crowd of about 30 of my friends and family's eyes got big and within minutes I became a Rock Star to my granddaughter , well everyone, but mostly my granddaughter. When the performance was over and Corinne and Jennifer had packed up their gear, instead of running off to the next gig, they hung out and spent time with us . I thought that was so sweet of them.
Long story short, That Corrine Vivers is one talented and smart woman with a fire performance troop of other talented and smart people. They can entertain modest sized events or mega sized events. .....Mourning Fyre, I will hire them again.

Mourning Frye helped bring our magic show to life! Arizona State University's Programming and Activities Board utilized multiple sideshow acts for entertainment during a dessert hour before a magic show for students and faculty. Including several LED performers and stilt walkers to our venue livened up our space and created a fun atmosphere, setting a lively tone for the rest of the evening.

I needed last minute entertainment for an awards dinner & Corinne came to the rescue. She was extremely professional & easy to work with. Her & her partner arrived promptly on time & put on a spectacular performance. I had envisioned a fire breather & we got that plus so much more! They performed for my daughter's "Creepy Sweet 16" party and they did a great job. Everyone was in awe and thought it was so cool. The performer came dressed in attire that complimented the theme of the party. They were very easy to work with. We tailor our performances for every event. Our costumes are customized to match the taste of the audience that is expected. I feel this is best described with examples.
For an eleven year old's birthday party, we dressed in black and red circus attire with lots of stripes and polka dots. Our costumes were conservative and our music choice was age appropriate. When performing with smaller props like palm torches we like to work our way a little closer to the audience and play with them a little.
For Nightmare on Main Street, a 21 Halloween Party in Mesa, AZ we performed a highly choreographed production retelling the classic Alice in Wonderland with fiery detail! Our costumes were all custom made to reflect a darker version of Alice and her travels through Wonderland. There was a lot of work put into the production of the stage props, as well. It was truly a magnificent performance.
For the music festival LaLa land we designed our costumes so that we were Pegacorns and friendly monsters. Our performance was on stilts and with LED versions of our performance props. We had a lot of fun stilting around to some great local DJs!
Whatever the theme, we will make amazing costumes and put together a great show for your next event!
Mourning Fyre was formed in 2007 by a band of performers looking to share their art with the masses. One of the remaining founders, Corinne Vivers manages the troupe presently. We do everything from fire fleshing and fire eating to poi, hoop, staff, and fire breathing. We have many unique fire props that you won't see with any other fire dancer.
We have also integrated other circus art forms into our performances. Stilt walking, side show acts, and aerial performances are also available upon request.
We do require that LED and fire performances be done at dusk or darker. Anything lighter kind of loses the magic.
We require the ability to be at least 15 ft from the audience if needed. Some of our props are very large and put off a lot of fire. We have found the audience is happy watching our art but in hotter months, they don't want to feel it, too!
Staging is best if it is a natural, non-flammable surface. We've performed on a variety of substrates and are happy to adapt.

When we started in the performance scene, we were amazed at groups like Flam Chen, Strange Family Circus, and Cut Throat Freak Show. We started as street performers in the downtown Phoenix scene and our hearts will always be there. Being able to eventually work with each of these performance groups has been a huge honor.
Sound system to play performance music on. We prefer to create our own music playlists for our shows. If you have special requests, we are happy to incorporate them. If you do not have a sound system available, we can bring ours for an additional fee.
Space: We typically need at least 15 by 15 feet to perform in. The more spacious the area, the more performers we can bring and the more active we can be!
Time: We recommend shows be no more than 15 minutes at a time. The average human attention span is approximately 5 minutes. Too much longer than that and you're guests/audience may feel trapped! We recommend at least 30 minutes prior to show time for s
Lighting: We like the dark, just not too dark! Fire is more impressive in a dimly lit area. Please be able to turn off lights in the area you intend to have us perform.
