Mr. Harley is a Children's Champion and Musician performing at birthday parties, schools and community events.
Mr. Harley knows all the classic children’s songs, but it’s his original compositions that get the biggest responses. Songs like “I Wanna See You Jump,” “The The Pirate Song,” and the say-that-five-times-fast “Stegameganoodlefudanappysaurus” are met with squeals of delight and enthusiastic singalongs, even from those who are hearing them for the first time.
If you’re putting together an event of any kind where children will be, remember Mr. Harley. He’s a man who knows how to have fun, and all the kids who follow his lead will always remember their first encou
I hired Mr. Harley for my twins 4th birthday party. Guests were toddlers, pre teens (friends of my older kid), and parents.
Mr. Harley went the extra mile to learn and play a song for my 9 yr old and her friends.
Needless to say, everyone was engaged and happy. I highly recommend Mr. Harley for your next gathering.
We had no idea what to expect and we were all so pleased with Mr. Harley's performance. His equipment worked great. He has a wonderful singing and speaking voice. His songs and jokes are engaging and super fun, he had all the students and teachers totally engaged. He also does a super job managing a large group of singing, dancing, sometimes screaming students!! I will definitely hire him again!
Mr. Harley came into our preschool and did an amazing performance. he sang classic songs with his twist. HIs songs that he wrote were super fun and the kids are sining it all the time>
My charge and I have a blast every time we see a Mr. Harley performance. He does a wonderful job of engaging his audience and encouraging audience participation in the show. It is just nearly impossible not to be swept into the fun by his enthusiastic energy!

The story of the Pied Piper entrancing the children of Hamelin has lasted for centuries. Now, in the 21st century, a new Pied Piper is making his way through Central Florida and beyond, only he’s using his powers for good. His name is Mr. Harley, and for the past nine years his music and his concerts have made children of all ages very happy. Mr. Harley leads a secret life as Harley Smith, mild-mannered jazz/rock drummer of the Florida music scene. But as Mr. Harley, he brings a lively guitar, a pile of songs, and a fender-wide grin to the stage, where his sheer exuberance has energized and delighted crowds of all shapes and sizes, from birthday parties to the Common Ground Fair.
A Mr. Harley audience is not a timid one. Any inhibitions are magically wiped away, and it isn’t long before kids (and even a few grownups) are hopping like frogs, wriggling like snakes, and roaring like tigers. Some even join Mr. Harley onstage to sing, dance, and play. By the end of his shows, any barriers between old and young, big and small, have vanished completely.
Mr. Harley knows all the classic children’s songs, as well as children’s songs disguised as grownup songs (think “All Together Now” by the Beatles), but it’s his original compositions that get the biggest responses. Songs like “I Wanna See You Jump,” “The Pirate Song,” and the
say-that-five-times-fast “Stegameganoodlefudanappysaurus” are met with squeals of delight and enthusiastic singalongs, even from those who are hearing them for the first time.
Mr. Harley’s music is available on two CDs – 2007′s Toast and Jelly, and his newest CD, Blue Shirt. More than concert souvenirs, these CDs are keepsakes, destined to provide the seeds from which treasured memories will
grow.
If you’re putting together an event of any kind where you know children will be, remember Mr. Harley. He’s a man who knows how to have fun, and all the kids who follow his lead will always remember their first encounter with a smile.
