Mrs Claus Services

If you are hiring me as Mrs Claus, I will arrive already presenting as Mrs Claus, dressed either in red or in green or a combination of both (let me know if you have a preference). My preferred color is green, as that generally will not conflict with Santa’s famous red suit.

My goal is to give a personalized experience for everyone present, adults and children alike. I will even interact with pets (including non-venomous reptiles), if that is desired, but would prefer not to hold them, as I would not want to transfer an allergen to someone.

I will explain to children, if asked, that Santa is currently very busy taking care of the final preparations for Christmas Eve, and will invoke Bernard and/or Rudolph if asked for any specifics. Singing along will be encouraged, and I will invite it by starting to sing familiar holiday songs as I do things.

If you have cookies ready for it, I will pass them out to those present, or help to decorate them, if that's what you have in mind. I will also sing holiday songs if desired.

If you are hiring me as a wandering performer or storyteller, I will also arrive in character.

If you have specific needs or I need to know something important about my appearance or some aspect of it, please don’t hesitate to let me know.

I don't wear a body scent, as I know some are allergic to such things.

I was born and raised in California, and moved to New England in late 2022. Both my Mom's and Dad's families have roots in New England, so for me, it's sort of like coming home.

I offer Mrs Santa appearance services, storyteller services (I write urban fantasy books, so that's sort of a logical thing for a storyteller), wedding officiant services (I am ordained through the Universal Life Church), baby shower appearances as “Maleficynt”, and more.

In early 2023, I was invited to attend a Santa Supper at the Manchester New Hampshire chapter of the New England Santa Society by a long-time friend who is also a Real Beard Santa (and an accomplished professional magician at other times). It didn't take long until I saw how much they all love what they do, brightening the season and bringing joy to children and adults alike.

Yes, I was hooked.

I attended Santa Camp (yes, that's a real thing) here in New Hampshire in the summers of 2023 and 2024, and received my graduation certificate from them. I plan to return to Santa Camp every summer to burnish my Mrs Santa appearances. There is even a documentary on HBO Max about Santa Camp.

This year (2024), I attended Santa True’s Christmas Performers’ Workshop in Burlington Vermont, and am continuing my work to improve my performance through continuing education with other Christmas holiday and renaissance performers, and then Santa Camp (again) each August.

When I’m not doing that, I write books, because someone has to.

If you want to take photos (and I'm imagining you will be) make sure that lighting is appropriate to avoid unwanted shadows. The photos I've included with my listing were made with a light to each side of the front of where I was sitting. In that case, one was angled toward me from the left, and the other from the right, rather than straight-on lighting.
