We had Munsey's Magic for our son's 6th birthday party and it was a HUGE HIT. Not only were the kids entertained- so were the adults! Would highly recommend Jim and his magic show. He was very responsive, accommodating and a pleasure to work with through the whole process!

We had Jim over at our house in January for my 13 year old teenager birthday celebration. All her friends and my daughter enjoyed the show a lot!! We hired Jim for our daughter’s 8th birthday. We had a few friends bring younger children, and everyone from age 4 up to 86 was enthralled by Jim’s amazing craft. I usually get bored in magic shows after a while, because either they are full of too much sound and bytes, or the magician is not humorous or because the tricks are mundane and not interesting. Not all magic tricks are equal or watch worthy. But 2 days ago I was completely entertained and shocked by Jim’s show. He was quick witted and there was no boring moment. The tricks just got better and better and even though we all know it’s sleight of hand, there really were no giveaways. I told Jim after the show that even Sherlock Holmes would have a hard time figuring him out, and Jim at once showed me a book lying on his table titled ‘The tales of Sherlock Holmes’. That was trick number 15! Haha. I would love to see his show again and bring it to NJ for other kids and adults to be delighted like our party of 50 was. Thank you, Jim!

Jim was just great! He entertained a group of 50 people with ages ranging from 5-75. Everyone loved him and his magic. People are still talking about him 2 days later. Wish we had extended him for more time!

It’s been a please to witnessing Munsey's Magic performance at my son’s birthday party. It was an absolute amazement. The level of entertainment provided by Jim made both children and adults mesmerized throughout the entire show.
Jim ability to engage the kids was truly commendable. I attended one of Jim Munsey's shows at a church event, and it was fantastic! Jim was so entertaining! All of the magic tricks kept me wondering, "How did he do that?" I brought my 5-year old nephew and my mother, and the show was perfectly suitable for all ages. My nephew stayed engaged throughout the whole show and was even chosen to help on stage with one of the mind reading tricks! Jim made it such a memorable event for my nephew! I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Munsey perform at my grandson's Blue and Gold Cub Scout celebration of the birthday of Boy Scout's. I completely enjoyed his performance! The kids were riveted to him as he engaged the audience with his expressiveness, sense of humor, props and especially of course, his magic tricks. He also had several of the kids in the audience come up to participate in his tricks, which they loved. I actually was sitting behind my 9 year old grandson and some of his buddies, and watching their reaction was hilarious! After a trick, the boys would look at each other in amazement and say "How did he do that!" I would love to see him perform again and would definitely have him do a party for the grand boys!

Jim was AMAZING at our daughter's 11th birthday party yesterday! He's engaging, funny, great with his audience and of course a great magician. We had adults and children and we all had so much fun. We mentioned we were having a Harry Potter and he has a few great tricks that went with that theme. We also found the entire process of connecting, reserving and coordinating with Jim to be very well organized and smooth. I'd give more than 5 stars it were possible and hope to have the opportunity to see him again!

Jim performed for a smallish group of 10 to 16 year olds and a handful of adults for my daughter's 10th birthday party. Everyone was engaged, amazed and laughing out loud throughout the entire 1 hour show. Jim was professional and very easy to work with. I highly recommend!

To say Jim knocked it out of the park is an understatement! We had a party for my wifes birthday this past Saturday night and the entire audience was amazed the entire time. The party ended 2 hours after Jim finished his show and that was basically all everyone spoke about until they left. The illusions/magic/mentalism he performed was mind boggling and we have no idea how he did it. Magician / Mentalist Jim Munsey did a fantastic job this weekend at my cousin's 40th birthday party. We hired Jim for our son's "Harry Potter" themed 10th birthday party this weekend. Prior to the party Jim reach out proactively to say that he would make sure to incorporate the Harry Potter theme into his act, going above and beyond! The show was outstanding, there was a wide age range of attendees and everyone equally enjoyed the magic! He kept us all fully engaged and included the audience in his act and he even made sure to have a few special "tricks" especially for the birthday boy! How do you have a fun school event for kids ages 3-13 during a pandemic? You hire Munsey's Magic to perform a virtual magic show that's how! Our school had been struggling to find a way to come together in a social way during this most unusual year. Jim's magic show was fun for all of the kids, as well as the adults. During our virtual session you could hear gasps from the audience and shouts of, "WOW!" and "How did you do that?!" There was even an interactive at home trick that allowed the children and parents to perform their own magic! He included many volunteers in his performance, and even made arrangements to deliver souvenirs (props that were used in the show) to a few lucky magician helpers ! Jim Munsey went above and beyond in every possible way to ensure that everyone was entertained. Finally, in addition to all of this, his magic is amazing! Jim's enthusiasm for his craft shines through...even on Zoom! Whether you want a magician for a small birthday party or a large school event, Jim will not disappoint!

Jim just performed a 40th bday party for my husband and he was incredible. He did it all virtually during COVID-19 and it didn't get in the way at all of his performance. And it was super fun to share with friends around the country. His tricks were amazing, fast paced and he even did one with audience involvement where we all had a deck of cards, all virtually! We hired Jim to do a virtual magic show for our son’s 6th birthday during the stay at home recommendation. He coordinated this using Zoom. His ability to command the attention of 20 children ranging in age from 3-10 on a virtual platform no less, was unlike anything I have ever seen. His assistant was phenomenal and well versed with operating the camera so the tricks remained visible and interactive for the children. It was a seemless, coordinated effort. I can not recommend Munsey’s Magic enough. Almost every single parent involved sent me messages about how wonderful and engaging the performance was. And the parents were just as amazed as the children! This was the perfect quarantine celebration.

Jim was a pleasure to work with from the planning stages of arrival time, specifications of the event, working the crowd in an interactive manner, and engaging the guests in a fun and exciting way! He was more than willing to adjust his time frame as there were several factors that changed the starting time. We hired Munsey's for our family Christmas party for 80 people ages from 2-89 and everyone enjoyed his performance. Many of the kids and adults had a chance to be part of the act. Everyone had a great time!

We had Jim at our Christmas Eve party this year and had every age from 5 to 75 years old. Jim and I originally talked and wanted a little of everything to entertain the kids to adults. He did everything and then some. What a great time and had everybody laughing and wondering how he did different magic tricks. He is a true professional and would recommend him to anyone!

I hired Munsey’s Magic to entertain a group of 20 women plus my 7 year old granddaughter for a baby shower. Jim was super easy to work with and very accommodating about timing. Our guests were shocked and blown away by his magic. We’re all still talking about it. I liked that he engaged everyone but never put anyone on the spot, making everyone very comfortable. Jim is a true professional and excellent entertainment for all ages.

We hired Jim for our twin daughters' 6th birthday, and he was absolutely amazing. The show was age-appropriate and entertaining for the kids in attendance, but also captivating for the grown-ups in the audience too. Our family was buzzing about it for the rest of the day and following morning, trying to figure out how he "did it". Super fun, and highly recommended for any function where people are ready to be amazed, amused, and entertained.

We just had Jim come and perform at my 9-year old son’s birthday party. It was a huge hit with both the parents and the adults (most of the adults were planning to drop their kids off and leave, but they were so interested in the show that they ended up staying for the whole thing 😂). The show was an hour, which was just the right amount of time. He was able to setup and do everything in our not-too-big living room, so it was convenient. And most of all, it was really fun. We definitely recommend him.

I saw Jim perform two years ago at a company outing and again this past weekend. We cant stop asking "how'd he do that?'! He puts on a great show and everyone should see him at least once!

This was my second time seeing Jim. Saw him 2 years ago with my co-workers and we haven't stopped talking about Jim's show for the last 2 years. Saw him this past weekend and Ji'm does NOT disappoint at all. The best way to describe him is WOW. He makes thing happen right before your eyes that your own eyes won't believe.

Longer review:
Jim was very easy to work with throughout the process. He responded to my initial request pretty quickly - I want to say within an hour - with a personalized message, as opposed to a form letter I got from other artists.

On the day, he arrived a little earlier than he estimated, which alleviated some nerves on our part - planning a birthday party as complicated as what we were attempting, it was great to have someone involved who was very much on the ball.

We were having a Harry Potter-themed party, where we transformed the function hall into a mini-Hogwarts. Jim was absolutely game and rolled with the theme, as we referred to him as "Professor Munsey, the Charms master." He stayed on-theme throughout his act with subtle references, even though he didn't have to, referring to us all being at Hogwarts, and so on. It also helped that he had a portion of his act that involved a "golden snitch" and was set to music from the movies. I won't spoil it but a part of his act had him sharing his magic with the birthday girl that left us gobsmacked, wondering how on Earth it was accomplished!

It was an interactive performance, as all good magical acts are, as he called for participants from the audience to help out or otherwise take part.

He had the kids enthralled and the adults, too!

First met Jim 2 years ago when he performed for Cub Scout Pack 712 in Wakefield - large group of loud kids and adults - 40+ people. Jim was well prepared and took control of his magic and the crowd. He was an absolute hit, excellent with the kids and adults. It was such a success, we brought him back again this year and he once again rocked the show. A+.

I don't often take time to offer reviews, but we spent such a fabulous and awe-inspiring afternoon with Jim on my grandson's seventh birthday that I have to shout about it. Jim stood out from the moment I made contact with him -- even his email tone is kind and warm. But his show defies description. Absolute mastery of his craft. Absolute understanding of children. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant storyteller. He threads themes through his show that keep the narrative going and the children totally involved. He has a lovable warmth about his presence that makes him a joy to watch. Every trick is more amazing than the last, and he constructs his program so that it's just exactly the right length. It's one big crescendo with an unbelievable ending. And he's so in love with magic, he couldn't help but to show us another trick after the kids had gone back outside (and it completely and utterly boggled our minds.) I loved that he was as hilarious for the adults as he was for the kids. And these are no small-time magic tricks. He needs an hour to set up because the show is so full of big and little moving parts. He brought such sunshine and so much amazement into the birthday party that little James has already asked for him to come back next year. Maybe that's the biggest recommendation of all! I'm so full of gratitude to Jim for being so tremendous at what he does and such a friend to James. I hope you'll have a chance to bring him into your life, too.

Such a fun show for a 70th birthday party. We talked for hours after about "How the heck did he do that?"

Jim came to perform for my husband's 70th birthday party. What a GREAT show! He actually learned additional illusions that would be more appropriate for an adult show before he came to perform for us.

He engages the audience in a really fun way. We are still talking about his mad skills. I would definitely hire him again. Jim is a perfect addition to any party. Your guest will love it.

We had a home birthday party for my 6 y/o and I cannot say enough good things about Jim Munsey. During the planning he was communicative and helpful. When he arrived at our house, he patiently answered my child's many questions about what to expect. And during the magic show, he held a group of 25 people, age 2-adult in rapt attention for an hour. We are all still talking about it, days later. My only regret is that I don't host MORE parties that I can hire Jim for. He was an absolutely pleasure to work with, and the party was a huge success thanks to him.

Jim Munsey recently performed at our daughter’s birthday party and we couldn’t be happier with our choice -- everything was fantastic from start to finish. I hired Jim to entertain the children at my sons christening lunch, thinking this would give the parents a chance to eat and talk. Jim was so good that most of the parents (including me) ended up in the kids room to watch the show. He had such a good rapport with the kids, but his Magic was mind blowing even to the adults.
