Response from Music For Your Service:
Thank you very much. I enjoyed performing for your party and appreciate you having me. Your guests were lovely and your decorations beautiful. So festive! Thank you!
Bravissimo, Jill!
Jill played for 2 hours at the celebration of life for our sibling. She arrived early and was already playing by the time guests arrived. Her beautiful flute music welcomed them in and encouraged a warm, convivial atmosphere for talking and reconnecting.
Even though the tone was celebratory and upbeat, there’s no escaping the grief. We had were moments of laughter and moments of tears. Jill’s selection of songs succeeded in delivering comfort and healing when needed and inspiration and joy at just the right times.
She is a consummate artist and is lovely to work with. I highly recommend her. I guarantee you will be enchanted by her magic flute.
Ms. Jill Thomassen provided music for my fathers funeral service at Zion Baptist Church in DC. Once Jill states she was available, it became apparent that she was well versed in playing these types of events. The songs I requested were no problem for her. Booking through gigsalad was easy, and Jill was very thorough helping me plan her portion of the event. On the day of the event, Jill did not disappoint. She showed up well on time, and coordinated with me and the music head. Jill’s pieces were played masterfully, and everyone at the service were impressed. Thank you Jill. I would recommend her to anyone.
Jill Thomassen not only did a wonderful job playing pieces that we requested, but also inserted some other lovely songs at times in our service when there was a lull or a gap. In addition, she expressed comforting sentiments in her emails leading up to the service and in her personal interactions during and after the service. She also took the initiative in contacting cemetery personnel in advance about handling her appearance. In short, in very positive experience in every way.
My wife played the flute her entire life, and brought music into our home. I hired Jill to provide a graveside tribute on the instrument my wife loved. Jill was terrific and very understanding when when the service ran late.
Jill Thomassen was so friendly and played wonderfully for our residents.
Jill played so beautifully throughout my Mom’s service. It really gave it that extra touch to help sooth the soul at such a sad time.
Jill's flute playing was the perfect touch for my fathers graveside service. She went out of her way to play special pieces my mother requested. We appreciate her efforts and enjoyed her playing immensely!
