Mykelle Walton

Mykelle Walton is an aerial artist & event specialist based in Boise, Idaho.

Her main pursuits include creating one-of-a-kind shows -- creatively using devised theatre and idea-centered thinking to produce her events. She is also known for pushing the boundaries of what the human body can do and combining it with the strength, grace, and artistry of a contemporary style aerialist to create experiences about the questions of life, philosophy, and physics.

She has been an acrobat for over 25 years and has always been addicted to hanging from anything that she can get her hands on. After her career as a level 10 gymnast, Mykelle picked up aerial arts as a full-time passion and has performed professionally since 2015.

She has graced the stage for theatrical productions such as Small Matters, Tarzan, Vagina Monologues, and Jesus Christ Superstar and has been highlighted for her aerial acrobatics around the world at AIDA Cruises and events like Moisture Festival (Seattle), TEDxBoise, Discovery Center of Idaho’s Annual Gala, and Boise Pride Festival. She is also the poster girl for the revolutionary new lift system, the Butterfly Lift, produced by Rock Exotica out of Utah and she currently holds the aerial champion title at the Reno AerialFest.

Mykelle has been the producer, creator of, or technical director for dozens shows and events including Boise Circus Guild, TEDxTwinFalls, Spotlight Dance Cup, and other independent theatrical productions in Idaho.

Rigging information:

I can rig to most indoor events, but a ceiling height of at least 14' and prior authorization of the building owner is required before booking. Ceiling heights higher than 20' preferred for aerial silk. If rigging beyond my expertise is required, the professional fee will be added into my quote.
Outdoor events require at least one month before booking to secure the rental of an outdoor rigging system.

Set Types:
Ambient:
A set of 20 minutes sitting in beautiful poses for background entertainment at events. Can be done to the ambient music around. Can pour wine/other drinks from apparatus during this set if wanted. Must have a 20 minute break between each of these sets.

Performance:
A 5 minute fully prepared and rehearsed performance set to specific music. More dynamic than an ambient performance. Meant to capture your guests attention and make them "oooh" and "awwee."
