What to Expect
My main focus is organization and excellent performance. I always arrive 60-90 minutes ahead of downbeat and bring backups of all the sound and power equipment. I offer a choice between an acoustic and electric instrument for myself, as well as the classical and jazz ensembles I offer.
I offer a fully customizable setlist and hire musicians that perform both notated and improvised music. This way I can accommodate any client requests, even on short notice.
About
Nataly Merezhuk is a violinist who performs both classical and improvised music, notably jazz. A recipient of full scholarships at the Moscow State Conservatory and the Peabody Conservatory, she went on to be selected as an artist in residence at the Strathmore Music Center. Her orchestral background includes work as a section violinist with ensembles such as the Annapolis Symphony, Maryland Symphony, National Philharmonic, and the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra. As a jazz musician, Merezhuk has headlined at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage and the National Gallery of Art's Jazz in the Garden series; her debut album, "Jazz on Bones," was featured on NPR.
As a violist, Merezhuk has worked as a recording artist with production companies such as Three Seas Inc, and was a featured guest artist at the Django in June Festival in Massachusetts. Currently, she performs on both violin and viola in the greater Washington D.C. area at private parties, weddings, and corporate events.
