A near exact physical and vocal recreation of the Queen of Rock and Roll.... Stevie Nicks.
a natural born entertainer. Music was big in Julie's family...and after recognizing her natural talent, her mother enrolled her in the Performing Arts. Since the age of seven, she has studied several forms of dance including ballet, tap, jazz and interpretive. A drama major in college, vocal training, and an accomplished Gymnast as well, Julie has always loved performing and feels that all of her training and entertainment experience has been in preparation for her to sing and dance across the stages of the world as Nearly Nicks.
Julie began performing professionally more than 25 years ago She started in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee at a local theme park. Julie also performed at many major tradeshow events. After working in a small Las Vegas style review, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, She moved to Las Vegas.
During the 1980’s, Julie was hired as a back-up singer for a Las Vegas show band called, "My Generation." The band played Oldies but Goodies in several hot spot Casino Lounges in Las Vegas and Southern California. Julie's first job on the big stage was when she was hired as a dancer/back-up singer for "Legends in Concert." Julie performed in "Legends" both in Las Vegas and Reno Nevada...and toured all over the US and Canada. Other credits include lead and feature lead dancer roles in Vegas shows such as "Melinda, First Lady of Magic" and "Playboys Girls of Rock and Roll".
Always entertaining, Julie has recently graced the stages in Southern California at the Morongo Casino, various Palm Springs hot spots and The Highland Ballroom in New York City as Nearly Nicks.
Over the years, Julie had many people; including family, friends, and total strangers tell her how much she resembled the legendary, “Stevie Nicks.” After more than a decade of retirement from entertainment, and a seemingly God given vision, she decided to direct her training to impersonate this true legend and Queen of “Rock n Roll.” With her mystical image and poetic songs Julie strongly feels Stevie Nicks' music is and always will be legendary. Songs like Rhiannon, Dreams, Sara and Gypsy will inspire decades of music lovers to come!
I use an in ear monitor system and prefer to be provided with a boom style microphone stand that I can decorate. I can provide if not available an effects voice box with echo and delay and would prefer a video screen when available to get full affects of show with multi media.
