We were blown away when the a tuba bassline and soaring trombone emerged from the woods in Prospect Park, much the way a brass band seems to spontaneously erupt in New Orleans! We had planned it, of course, but the way they seamlessly entered the scene was just perfect. Wonderful playing, flexibility for our audience (5 and 6 year olds who had song requests), and joyful energy galore! Thank you, New Orleans Renaissance. Can't recommend you highly enough! :)

Marius and his team were the perfect fit for what I needed. My holiday was a prohibition era theme and they made everything feel just right. My guests were so happy and I would highly recommend the. For any occasion.

Due to our space and budget, there were two musicians that came, but they did SO much with just the two of them- they did everything we asked for, and more! It was for my daughters first birthday party, and my daughter LOVED the music! We loved it too Ofcourse, but it was my priority that she have a good time, and she was mesmerized by the musicians and their music. And she loved dancing to it too! That’s all a mother could ask for! They were professional, and very nice too! They played jazz, kids music for the kids, and New Orleans style too, bringing out several instruments during the evening. Would highly recommend them!

Our birthday party was attended by mixed ages and held inside. The trio of musians provided exactly what we asked for: some older style jazz from New Orleans to swing and they even played some children's songs when appropriate. Our group, which included five musicians, was thrilled with the music and with the musician's flexibility in adapting to various activities during our celebration. Highly recommend!

The 5 piece band was fantastic!!!!!! Arrived on time, dressed in the 1920s theme, very professional. They did an amazing job. Very classy...they did not need any direction...My guests loved them. I will definitely use them again in the future. I don't have the pictures yet or I would upload them.

The New Orleans Renaissance Band was a huge hit at our son's wedding this past weekend. We surprised our guests by having the band begin playing the moment the ceremony ended and began a Second Line from the ceremony site to the cocktail hour. The band continued to entertain our guests for our cocktail hour and they were truly wonderful! I thank them for providing such wonderful musical entertainment!

The band was on time and truly a pleasure to work with. As a manager overseeing lots of moving pieces - I never had to worry about them once they checked in. They read each area and adapted accordingly for mood and volume adjustments. My guests had nothing but compliments on their music and interactions! I will definately add them to the top of my choices when I plan other events!

We had a trio from New Orleans Renaissance play at our Mardi Gras party. They were very professional and our guests absolutely loved them. They were all extremely talented and fun.

Like you favorites of anything...you don't want anyone to know what a gem these musicians are! So kind, fun, flexible and talented! Would love to hire them again in a heartbeat! They started our holidays off to a joyous season.

With a last second cancellation from another act due to COVID, I found myself scrambling at 9:30 am for an event starting at 4pm. New Orleans Renaissance came to our rescue with not only an incredibly reasonable quote, but also a fantastic act that was who I should have booked in the first place! All three performers were incredibly professional and talented, and they kept our crowd entertained and happy. But I can't stress how amazing it was that they booked and provided this event with less than 6 hours notice!! Please book this band as your first choice because you will not be disappointed in the least!

I turned 30 on the worst day of the week possible: a Tuesday. What is there to do on a Tuesday? I’ll tell you what you should do if your birthday falls on a Tuesday: hire New Orleans Renaissance to accompany you as you second line down 8th Avenue. These guys were great. They sounded amazing, had very New Orleans Jazz vibes. They accommodated last minute location changes on my part and were down with taking the party into the subway. New Orleans Renaissance turned a drab summer Tuesday night into a birthday to remember. Hire them!

I hired Marius and New Orleans Renaissance as part of a surprise proposal for my now fiancé, and requested that they play our song "Can't take my eyes off you" by Frankie Valli. Not only did they deliver an incredible performance but they were all so kind, wonderful and worked with me to make sure the proposal went perfectly. My fiancé and I were blown away by their performance of our song and the other songs they played, and I cannot thank them enough for making the proposal feel truly special and romantic! Would definitely recommend and hire again!

The band was wonderful! However, due to the bands earlier engagement being pushed in time, they arrived 1.5 hours late to my event, cutting the experience very short. Luckily, Marius understood this and will come back and play another set, to make up for the time lost. So long as the lost time that was paid for in full is made up for, I will say this was a good experience.

The band was stuck in traffic behind the Dominican Day Parade in Manhattan so
they were a bit late. But they were welcomed by cheers from the crowd! they were well worth the wait!! What a great group of guys! They were just what our "Mardi Gras" dinner needed!

I booked this band the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving for a Friday morning funeral. They showed up on time and ready to go, two hours outside New York City. They played my grandmother's funeral and reception. No one wanted them to stop playing. They were able to adapt to the space we needed them to play in with no issues or concerns.
