The Niagara Frontier Chord Authority (NFCA) is the only chapter of Harmony, Inc. in WNY. We are proud to be part of this international, non-profit organization whose purpose is to empower all women through education, friendship and 4-part a cappella singing.
Established in 1985, today NFCA’s singers celebrate 30 years of harmony and friendship. This chorus has consistently grown in skill and talent under the direction of Ron Mason and Sue Trenchard, and has been the recipient of multiple honors, including the Peg Duclos and MacIntosh Small Chorus Award, the Rising Star Award, and the L.A.B.B.S. Trophy. Since November of 2012, NFCA has ranked at the medalist level at Harmony, Inc.’s International Competition. Whether it be with a classic tune or contemporary song, they enjoy sharing their love of music with audiences of all sizes.
Membership in this chorus brings with it bonds of friendship and support, a feeling extended beyond the rehearsal hall to the support of community programs. Currently, and in the past, we’ve supported worthy causes like “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer”, The American Heart Association’s Heart Walk, Community Music School, and Colon Cancer Research at Roswell Park. Anually, a portion of performance proceeds are directed to a community service that, together as one, our members will choose to support.
