Nick Hubbell Trio

Guitarist and composer Nick Hubbell graduated from Oberlin Conservatory, studying composition with Randolph Coleman and electronic and computer music with Gary Lee Nelson. After college he immersed himself in the jazz fusion scene in the NYC area, writing and performing in a number of ensembles and session work. During this time he also began writing for film, video and radio. He established Just Music where he wrote and produced hundreds of sound tracks including the entire Dr. Seuss beginner Book series (Random House), the documentary, The Men who Brought the Dawn (Smithsonian) featuring the surviving crew of the Enola Gay and Bockscar, Anne of Green Gables 12 volume set (Disney).

He has been the recipient of The Kenneth Davenport National Competition for Orchestral Works, New Sounds New Haven and the Golden Eagle Cine award, among others. Nick has worked with some of the best musicians in the country including: Joe Beck, Tim Price, Harvey Brooks, Chip Jackson and Mark Epstein.

Recently Nick has been focusing on playing and recording on the guitar.
