About
I'm a journalist, speaker, and coach based in Norfolk, Virginia.
I'm led by faith and lessons learned during a mission trip to Haiti, a silent yoga retreat, and Oprah's Life You Want tour-- which included a quick chat with the legend.
I currently anchor evening newscasts for WVEC 13NewsNow, the ABC station in Norfolk.
Before that, I anchored, produced and edited radio newscasts for Voice of America in Washington, DC. It is one of the largest international media organizations in the world.
I spent several years as an evening anchor and guest lifestyles host for WAVY-TV in my hometown of Norfolk, Virginia.
My journalist duties go way beyond what viewers see on the air. I've also produced special reports and stories and a blog. I also promote the station's stories and events while engaging with viewers through social media.
I'm a community leader who often speaks to aspiring journalists and various groups.
I stay up to date with the latest trends and technology in digital media by attending conferences organized by the Online News Association, Investigative Reporters and Editors, and Society of Professional Journalists.
I speak, read, and write Spanish well.
I spend my free time with my young daughter. I love to work out, travel, read, cook and support local businesses.
I'm currently seeking hosting, anchoring, voice over, media consulting, content writing, speaking, and volunteer opportunities.
