Lisa Schultz was so helpful in organizing the funeral service for my Mother - from choice of hymns to the staging, and then helping me reschedule when the weather did not cooperate. Lisa began developing her musical talent at the age of seven, when she first learned to play folk guitar. She used this gift in school and church choirs, where she began to learn about the ministry of music. At age 15, Lisa successfully auditioned for the All-District and All-State Honor Chorus. Her high school choir director recommended private vocal and guitar lessons, to further her development, which she gladly undertook. After her studies with Keith Harmeyer, Lisa was chosen to sing solos and ensembles in many school and church performances.
At age 16, Lisa began attending prayer meetings of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Here, she yielded her heart to the Lordship of Jesus and His Baptism in the Holy Spirit. Soon afterward, she took the leadership of a youth church choir and band, The Messengers of Heaven. This group of charismatic teens prepared an evangelical musical called "The Clown". Lisa was cast as lead role in this production, which toured numerous local churches and senior living centers over a three year period. It was during this time that she learned how to minister to individuals and to crowds by the power of the Spirit. More ministry opportunities opened for her when The Citadel Christian Coffeehouse offered her numerous solo bookings there.

She studied opera with Arthur Cosenza, choir with Larry Wyatt, voice with Ruth Myrick Lapeyre and Ellen Philips Frohnmayer. She was enriched by the experience of singing in the Leadville Colorado Music Festival as well as the European tour of the Loyola Chorale. Lisa remained on the Dean's list during her college studies until she received her Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1986.
Lisa has served as cantor, guitarist, choir director and music minister at local churches over the last 30 years. She has sung solo for over 400 weddings and funerals. It is her desire to serve you by offering her music gifts to enhance your special ceremony! Please contact soon to secure your date or to inquire for information!
