November Sound

November Sound brings you a sound that is classy, sophisticated, fresh, unique and creative. The group has a wealth of experience performing as a duo, trio or joining forces with excellent musicians as a four or five piece band. This musical ensemble creates a real alternative sound in musical work and provides a real sound alternative for your event.

November Sound creates introspective indie-pop and artistic alternative music. Combined with these creative sounds, their live performances deliver a diverse repertoire of modern pop, popular favorites and classic jazz covers.

November Sound was first established as a mother, father and son musical trio in 2014 and has been performing throughout CT, MA and RI ever since. From Columbia, CT, USA, their original music has been featured on several worldwide podcasts, earned honors in world songwriting contests, gone viral on YouTube, and their most recent release "Friday" was the featured music on a syndicated radio show playing all over the UK.

Local audiences describe November Sound as “a whole different level of live music” and you can see and hear them anywhere the finest music is served. They bring a sophisticated sound to chill or an upbeat groove to dance.

November Sound features powerful and unique lead vocals with creative drum and keyboard driven musical arrangements. NS creates alternative music with intricate rhythms and a modern sophisticated sound. Although influenced by groups such as Coldplay, The Fray, Twenty One Pilots and The Script the unique stylings of November Sound have been described as resembling Massive Attack, Portishead, the Cranberries and other cool alternative music.

Melissa ( voice, ukulele & guitar) and Bill ( keys, songwriter & producer) are both graduates of the Hartt School of Music, have decades of teaching and performing experience and both have a true passion for improving Connecticut's music scene. Lifelong residents of the Columbia area, Melissa graduated from Parish Hill and Bill from Windham High. Their son, Will (drums & percussion) , grew up as part of the Hartt School Community Division's Connecticut Children's Choir ( 12 years CCC ), has toured Ireland with the Connecticut Men's Choir, is a graduate of E.O. Smith, completed a DCI tour in 2018, is majoring in computer science at ECSU and plays snare drum in the UCONN Marching Band. Go Huskies!
